15:45 YELLOLY (LMP2): "I THOUGHT I HAD THROWN IT AWAY"
Nick Yelloly will celebrate into the evening with the Inter Europol Competition LMP2 team after an incredible race win – despite a drive-through penalty!
"It’s a dream come true, I've been fortunate enough to be in a couple of winning cars in some big 24-hour races, before hand I won both Spa and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Now, adding Le Mans to the list is a pretty awesome feeling, and what better place to do it! What better teammates, as Tom is French, and he gets to stand on the top step of the podium, and Jakub has already won it before. I’m really happy for everyone who has worked tirelessly to get this result as a team.
"I thought I had thrown it away, to be honest, I knew we were tight and were on a slightly different fuel strategy, so I was having to push to get a gap to the VDS car behind. I just locked the rears ever so slightly on the older tyres into the pits and probably oversped a tiny bit."
15:35 LIETZ (LMGT3): "IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER"
Before Richard Lietz took to the LMGT3 podium, he gave his immediate reaction after an unforgettable 24 Hours of Le Mans!
"I think it can’t get any better apart from me being younger! I think from a race perspective, it was on our side, we didn’t have many safety cars and our car was really good over three stints with one tyre set.
"I’m happy that Ryan and Riccardo will celebrate our first victory in Le Mans and their first victory, and I think it’s going to be a nice party!
"Every win feels a bit different, every year Le Mans is special, so I’m always happy to come back, but to do it back from back after last year is special!"
15:25 KUBICA (HYPERCAR): "WINNING OVERALL IS EVEN BETTER"
After an incredible drive during his final stints, Robert Kubica gave his initial thoughts after an unbelievable drive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans!
"Winning Le Mans is special, it is one of the biggest races! I was close a few years ago in the LMP2 category in my first Le Mans, where we lost the race on the last lap.
"This time everything worked perfectly, winning overall is even better than LMP2, it has, as always, been a demanding week, but fortunately we made everything possible and kept our heads down.
"We kept our heads down when we had to push, we took care of our car and tyres, and I am happy for myself and my teammates and AF Corse and for Ferrari, who have won three times in a row with three different crews."
15:10 MANTHEY 1ST PHORM WIN IN LMGT3!
Manthey 1ST Phorm will add a special trophy to their collection after they dominated proceedings in the LMGT3 category. Ryan Hardwick, Riccardo Pera, and Richard Lietz delivered flawless performances on a day/weekend that they will never forget – magic that only the 24 Hours of Le Mans can produce!
Vista AF Corse claims second position in the LMGT3 category, becoming the first Ferrari in the LMGT3 class to finish! Francois Heriau, Simon Mann and Alessio Rovera brought the #21 to second position after 341 laps of non-stop action.
Meanwhile, TF Sport took the final spot on the LMGT3 podium, surviving what was a fast and furious 24-hour race. The #81 Corvette was powered to third position after a great drive from Tom van Rompuy, Rui Andrade and Charlie Eastwood, who brought the car home in the final stint!
15:05 INTER EUROPOL CELEBRATE LMP2 SUCCESS!
The #43 of Inter Europol Competition took the LMP2 win, defeating VDS Panis Racing after a race long battle. It was a grueling fight, with Nick Yelloly securing victory following a breathtaking move in the final hour of action. It was an excellent drive from Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Yelloly, who will have the opportunity to celebration their success at the top of the podium.
VDS Panis Racing finished in second after Yelloly took away their hope for victory. Nevertheless, it was an epic drive from Oliver Gray, Franck Perera, and Esteban Masson, who will be able to proudly reflect on their achievements.
AO by TF will clinch the final spot on the LMP2 podium after PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and Louis Deletraz impressed in France! The #199 was able to snatch third position after extending its margin on the Iron Lynx – Proton squad.
15:00 PORSCHE PENSKE AND FERRARI AF CORSE JOIN THE PODIUM
The #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport crossing the line in second position, finishing just 14 seconds behind after incredible late race pace! Kevin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor and Matt Campbell worked hard as a team, with Estre earning the opportunity to drive the #6 to the flag!
Meanwhile, Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi bring home the second factory Ferrari AF Corse car to third position – securing the final spot on the podium in the #51!
15:00 AF CORSE ARE VICTORIOUS IN THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS
After 387 laps, 24 hours of drama, day and night, and a lot of emotions, the #83 AF Corse customer Ferrari, driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye, and Phil Hanson, is victorious in the 93rd 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It was a marathon end-of-race for Robert Kubica, who, at 40 years old, led the charge in the closing hours – completing stint after stint with no mistakes. There was some earlier drama with the #51, but Kubica kept his cool and will now prepare to stand on the top step of the podium.
It was a real team effort, with Yifei Ye and Phil Hanson completing some strong running throughout the need, allowing the bright yellow Ferrari to storm through the field. CHAPEAU!

14:40 EUROPOL COMPETITION HANDED A DRIVE-THROUGH
After leading the majority of the race, LMP2 class leaders Inter Europol Competition have now been handed a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane. This was huge for the race, with #48 VDS Panis Racing now earning their chance to fight for victory, however, Masson would make a mistake - allowing Yelloly to enter and leave the pits in the lead.
14:35 HUGE MOMENT FOR #50
Antonio Fuoco has just had a massive wake-up call in the #50 Ferrari AF Corse after he was forced to run through the runoff, narrowly missing the wall to continue. It’s a huge mistake in terms of results, with the #50 losing seven seconds because of the moment… Could that be the deciding factor in the podium fight
Meanwhile, the sister #51 is just entering the pit lane now, completing their last stop with just 25 minutes left on the clock!
14:30 THE CHARGE TO THE LINE
It looks like it’ll be a sprint to the flag for the majority of the field, making a final pit stop with less than 40 minutes remaining. Most interesting the AF Corse, not only switches to a fresh set of rubber but Robert Kubica stays in the car – using all of his drive time for this final stint of action.
Porsche Penske are continuing to be chased by the #50 Ferrari, with just one second separating the battle for second position after over 23 hours of racing! Everyone surrounding the Circuit de la Sarthe is on their feet, with the rest of the world glued to their TV screens – tune in, folks, you don’t want to miss anything!
Both Porsche and Ferrari have completed their final pit stops, with both cars only taking fuel, unlike the lead #83… The order remained as it was after the final pit stops, but Porsche was fastest in pit lane, gaining a further three seconds!

Race control has just announced further penalties in this final hour of action here in France! The #009 Aston Martin Thor Team, the #13 AWA Racing, and the #87 Akkodis ASP Team have all received a drive-through penalty due to full course yellow procedures!
This could be crucial for the team’s results, most notably with the #87 Akkodis ASP Team, who are continuing to fight for the final spot inside the top five in the LMGT3!

Antonio Giovinazzi has reported over the radio that he is experiencing some issues inside his #51 Ferrari, which could be a pivotal moment in the Italian manufacturer's hope to lock out the podium in the 2025 instalment of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Giovinazzi has been informed by his team that there is nothing they can do to fix the issue, meaning he must nurse the car home if the problem persists. Again, this is endurance racing, and this is the stage of the race where you will see any issues beginning to creep in…
Currently, the #51 sits in fourth position, meaning that could be the best-case scenario if they are unable to fix the problem!
14:00 23/24 HOURS ARE DONE - ONE REMAINS
It’s everything that we have been waiting for… Just one hour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans remains! The AF Corse squad are continuing to use Robert Kubica, maximising his time in the car to the absolute limit. Porsche Penske remains in second, with the #6 at risk of being jumped in the pit stops next time around!
Both the #51 and the #50 are together on track, trading positions to allow the #50 to try and catch the Porsche on track… Outside of the lead fight, the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing car is chasing the #12 Cadillac – hoping to force them into a mistake in the closing stages.
The Inter Europol Competition remains strong at the head of the LMP2 field, leading the VDS Panis Racing car by 34 seconds with one hour remaining. Iron Lynx Proton is now in the podium position ahead of the AO by TF #199.
Over in LMGT3, Manthey 1ST Phorm is still in control, followed by the #21 Vista AF Corse and the #27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin. Of course, the latest retirement is from the United Autosports McLaren, who will be forced to watch the remainder of the race as spectators…

A full-course yellow is now out here at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the #59 United Autosports LMGT3 grinding to a halt with just over one hour remaining. It’s a disappointing way for the #59 car to end their day in a crucial moment for our leaders!
13:50 KUBICA STAYS OUT
Robert Kubica is well and truly earning his money here at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, staying out for a further stint in the #83 Ferrari. The AF Corse team continue to lead the race after the latest round of pit stops!
The battle for second position is beginning to unfold in front of our eyes, with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse driven by Antonio Fuoco chasing the rear of Kevin Estre in the #6 Porsche Penske! Meanwhile, the #51 was once again the final car to enter the pits, exiting the track behind both the sister #50 car and the #6 Porsche!
It looks like there are further problems over at BMW as Kevin Magnussen returns to the pit lane, with the mechanics going to work at the back of the #15 car.
13:40 FURTHER PENALTIES
There have been more penalties handed out with less than one and a half hours left on the clock, more penalties have been handed out. One of those cars is the #29 TDS Racing in the LMP2 class, which will have five seconds added to its next pit stop time due to a previous pit stop infringement!
The #63 Iron Lynx Mercedes has also been penalised after their contact with the #21 LMGT3 Ferrari on the entry to pit lane around one hour ago! The Iron Lynx – Proton has also been handed a drive-through penalty due to track limits.
13:30 GOOD NEWS FOR BMW
Good news for all Kevin Magnussen fans out there as the #15 BMW M Team WRT returns to action here at the Le Mans 24 Hours! Currently the #15 is running down in 16th position after spending multiple laps in the pits, while team carried out essential work to get the car to the finish line.
Meanwhile, the #20 BMW has just left the pits, with Robin Frijns now at the wheel of that car, for what could be the run to the flag!
13:20 CALADO: "THE TYRES WERE GONE"
James Calado was fresh out of the car and gave his first thoughts after an interesting stint in the #51 Ferrari, which saw a late change of strategy.
"I don’t know, honestly, everything changed after the spin in the pit lane. It wasn’t ideal because the guys told me I was doing a double, so I pushed, but then they said triple, so the tyres were gone.
"If I had known it would have been much easier but it’s not easy for the guys because there are so many strategies, so hopefully this one works and we can try and get back up the order. It’s a shame but we will keep pushing."
13:15 BMW DRAMA
The BMWs are beginning to plummet down the order, with both the #15 and #20 cars sitting inside their garage. The #15 BMW M Team WRT was running inside the top 10 in what could of a strong result for the German factory. It could result in a DNF if we don’t see the cars leave the pits soon.
The #20 was already being watched under a microscope, with the car being investigated for a technical infringement.
13:10 THE RUNNING ORDER
With the #51 Ferrari AF Corse diving into the pits once more, the order has settled down at the front. With less than two hours remaining in Le Mans, let’s bring you up to speed with the running order at the moment!

13:00 PITS STOPS AS KUBICA ASKED TO BOX AGAIN
A crucial run of stops have been completed, with the #83 AF Corse of Robert Kubica remains in the car with just two hours remaining. Both the #50 Ferrari AF Corse and the #6 Porsche Penske follow the leader in, with an unmissable stint coming up.
Matt Campbell remains inside the Porsche, with a big jump on the #50 Ferrari after a drive change and tyres for the Italian factory. It looks like Antonio Fuoco will remain in the #50 until the end of the race.
Meanwhile, Kubica was asked to enter the box once more to fix a couple of items inside his Ferrari's cockpit. But it doesn’t look like the #83 will make that second stop; it could just wait until the end of the next stint.
12:55 PORSCHE INTO THE PODIUM
Matt Campbell is continuing an impressive stint, completing the move on the #51 Ferrari – entering the podium once more. The #6 Porsche Penske has forced James Calado to drop to fourth, as he now begins to look for an opportunity to respond later in the race.
The #51 Ferrari AF Corse did not fight too hard, which could suggest that Calado and Ferrari are continuing to look at strategy later in the race as further stints unfold. However, the #50 Ferrari AF Corse is just a few seconds up the road… Could we see a Porsche fighting for P2?
12:50 LMGT3 ACTION
There is plenty of drama continuing to unfold in the LMGT3 field, with the Manthey 1ST Phorm continuing to lead after completing yet another stop. The #21 Vista AF Corse also made a stop, briefly dropping down to third as we await the Heart of Racing Team to enter the pit lane once more.
There was some drama on pit entry, with Vista AF Corse receiving a rub from the #63 Iron Lynx Mercedes. The #63 is now under investigation for the incident as they return to action multiple laps down.
12:45 PEUGEOT WATCH
Peugeot has just made another pit stop with Stoffel Vandoorne now at the wheel of the #94 car. Currently, the #94 is an Alpine sandwich, sitting in 13th position on the timesheets with less than two and a half hours remaining in France.
Further back, the #93 Peugeot TotalEnergies sister car is down in 19th position, after being overtaken by the recovering #8 Toyota.
12:40 MORE STINTS FOR KUBICA?
We’ve just heard a HUGE radio message in the #83 car, as the AF Corse squad are asking Robert Kubica to complete more stints! It’s a big task if Kubica wishes to accept, but clearly the #83 squad are happy with his pace.
Kubica has stretched the lead to over 20 seconds, with the #50 and the #51 Ferrari AF Corse remaining in chase. The #6 Porsche Penske has reduced the gap to the podium to just five seconds, as all eyes turn to the timing monitors!
12:30 BACK INTO ORDER AT THE FRONT
The #51 has finally left the pits in third, with the order beginning to settle down as we strap in for another hour of non-stop action. AF Corse’s lead is up to 18 seconds, remaining in control of the pace – as it is starting to look like it will be triple stints for the front three cars.
The #6 Porsche Penske will have to find something special in the closing hours, with Matt Campbell at the wheel of the Hypercar now. Campbell had a close call with the United Autosports McLaren, who is running 17th position in the LMGT3 class. The remaining Porsche Penske cars (#5 and #4) are running in seventh and 10th positions.
12:20 RELIVE: THE END OF THE #8’S HOPES
The Toyota Gazoo Racing team had an abrupt end to their hopes of a strong finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The #8 car sits in 19th position after returning to track, following a dramatic front left puncture.
The incident happened at the start of the stint, forcing Ryo Hirakawa to limp around an entire lap, even losing the wheel while driving back to the pits. Thanks to our magical team at TNT Sports, you can watch the incident below!

12:15 FERRARI’S HEADACHE CONTINUES
The Ferraris continue to run together on the circuit, with the #50 and the #51 remaining in the same camera shot! All eyes were on what the teams would do on the next stop, with both the #83 and the #50 opting not to take tyres during this stop.
The gap to the #83 has come down in the last stint, with the #50 just 13 seconds behind when they entered the pit lane. Leaving the pits, it was a big surprise not to see any tyres for the #50, who had been complaining about their front tyres throughout the last stint.
12:10 BOURDAIS: ‘EXTREMELY UNFAIR’
Remember the pit incident we showed you early on, when there was some confusion from Bourdais on pit entry? Well, make sure you check out the reaction from the #38 team!

12:00 THREE HOURS STRIKE
As the clock hits midday in the United Kingdom, it’s time to remind ourselves of the running order in all classes! Although not a lot of changes in Hypercar on paper, there has still been plenty of action and strategy over the last hour.
Inter Europol Competition continue to look unstoppable in the LMP2 category, with VDS Panis Racing in chase as they search for valuable seconds. No change in the lead in LMGT3 either, with Manthey 1ST Phorm showing their dominance as they leave the pits ahead of the #21.

11:55 FERRARI VS FERRARI
The #50 makes his way into second position, launching his move to overtake the #51. There could be some strategy involved here, as the two Ferraris look to work together to save some fuel and, therefore, time during the next pit stop.
Nicklas Nielsen has been on the radio, complaining about his front tyres, which should be able to run slightly cooler and with less interference now that he is ahead!
11:50 THE PODIUM FIGHT
The battle BEGINS! Do not move away from your screen for a second, the #51 Ferrari is into second position, ahead of their sister car in the #50. Ferrari is trying to work out what to do strategy-wise, as we near towards three hours remaining.
The two Ferraris are now under pressure after a great stint from the #6 Porsche Penske, with Laurens Vanthoor at the wheel. The #6 Porsche has closed in as the gap is closing down to less than three seconds.
There is also some traffic ahead, while we wait and see where the Porsche can find time to stop Ferrari from locking out the podium.
11:40 RELIVE: BOURDAIS’ CONFUSION
Another huge moment came from Sebastien Bourdais’ #38 Cadillac, with the Hertz Team JOTA aiming to put just before a FYC came out. However, much like the #15 BMW, Bourdais was forced to pit for some emergency fuel, but it was not without confusion…

LMP2 has just suffered a huge shake-up, with Inter Europol Competition continuing their run in the class lead ahead of VDS Panis Racing. Drama has unfolded once more in the IDEC Sport box, with the #28’s race coming to an abrupt end after they lost a rear wheel.
Over in LMGT3, Manthey 1ST Phorm is not long out of the pits, with Richard Lietz at the wheel of the leading Porsche. The #21 Vista AF Corse is unable to make a dent in the 92’s lead with less than four hours remaining!
11:20 IDEC SPORT SUFFER MORNING DRAMA
There is major drama in LMP2 as the #28 IDEC Sport’s podium hopes come crashing down as Jon van Uitert is now beached in the gravel trap. The #28 lost it's rear right wheel, which will bring out a slow zone to give marshals an opportunity to help and recover the car.

Now it looks like the team could be setting the car up to race in the ‘perfect’ condition, to use the remaining four hours as a testing session. Currently, the Toyota has dropped to 18th position and is expected to fall further down the field.

The LMGT3 battle has been fierce throughout, with the Heart of Racing Team picking off a position on the #78 Akkodis ASP Team earlier in the race. However, the #78 has since retired from the race, following their trip to the barrier.
Although the Akkodis ASP car may be out of action, it doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy the drama from earlier… Watch the move below!

10:30 THE NEW LOOK TO HYPERCAR
As the clock continues to tick down, the Hypercar order has had a huge shift in the past 30 minutes. Now the customer #83 AF Corse Ferrari leads the race from the #50 Ferrari AF Corse, who leaps their #51 sister car following a mistake while leading.
Will the pit entry prove to be a race-deciding factor for the #51? Only Guidi can change that at the moment!

10:20 KUBICA: "NOT PERFECT"
Robert Kubica had an encouraging drive earlier this morning, battling for the lead despite some heated conversations over their radio. After his stint, he gave his thoughts on the race so far for the #83 customer Ferrari.
"It was okay, not perfect, but it has been a strong race until now. Let’s see, there is a long way left and we have to stay focused and keep going forward."
However, during his stint, Kubica believes that the #51 leader could have done more to help both of their races.
"I think there has been (Factory Orders) already.
"We tried to help each other, we helped the #51, but the #51 is ignoring, but anyway it doesn’t matter, we will sort it out. I mean it’s not my business, I’m not a Ferrari driver, normally if I am signed for a manufacturer, I respect the orders and the calls from the pit wall, but some drivers don’t.
"It’s more about the Ferrari driver and the Ferrari management to sort it out, and not myself."
However, since the interview, the positions between the top two have now swapped after a mistake on pit entry from #51!
10:10 #51 LEADER IN THE GRAVEL
Alessandro Pier Guidi has SPUN going into the pits! It’s a huge moment in the race, with the pit crew under huge pressure to refuel and clean that car as quickly as possible.
Guidi looks to have avoided any damage and will exit the pits 21 seconds down on Ye, as the #83 AF Corse Ferrari takes the lead!
10:05 #78 BRINGS OUT FCY
The #78 Akkodis ASP Team has suffered huge drama, with Finn Gehrsitz limping the Lexus back to the pit lane. It was a high-speed trip to the gravel trap at the Porsche Curves, hitting the wall and breaking the car’s suspension.
It sounds like Gehrsitz believes their race is over but remember this is the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and ANYTHING can happen. A full-course yellow has now been brought out, neutralising the race for one lap.
10:03 THE ORDER WITH FIVE HOURS LEFT
What a race we are having! The #51 Ferrari AF Corse is continuing to stretch a lead over the #83 AF Corse. The #50 Ferrari AF Corse is running in third, with a 19-second advantage over the #6 Porsche Penske.
The LMP2 lead fight is now down to just three seconds as Nick Yelloly continues to put in a shift – building temperature in his tyres. Meanwhile, Manthey 1ST Phorm have extended their LMGT3 lead to nearly one minute from Vista AF Corse!

10:00 IMPORTANT STOPS AT HOUR 19
The #50 Ferrari AF Corse is dropping down the order slightly, with the factory car entering the pits for their next stop. Miguel Molina continues his drive, impressing so far on his stint as they look to hunt the #83 in second.
The #83 returned to the pits the following lap as Ye continues to rack up his driving time in this race. The #51 leader is expected to enter the pits next time around with no driver change expected either!
9:50 LMP2 STOPS
We are closing in on five hours remaining, with the lead LMP2 car, the #43 Inter Europol Competition, leaving the pits eight seconds ahead of VDS Panis Racing. Nick Yelloly is now in the lead, with a tough out-lap on what looks to be a new set of tyres.
IDEC Sport is close to becoming one lap down in the LMP2 class, showing how hot the pace is at the front of this class. The LMP2 battle continues to be a fight to keep your eye on, with Dillmann now able to enjoy a small rest as he finishes his stint!
9:45 FCY DRAMA FOR THE #38
The full course yellow is out once more, Sebastien Bourdais forced to enter the pit lane after the #38 was already committed to the pit lane. It looks like the team were forced to put emergency fuel in, meaning that the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA car will be forced to return to the pits to complete their full stop!
There was a brief moment of confusion for Bourdais, who went across the grass to rejoin the pit entry. The #38 is now running in ninth position and is locked in an intense mid-field battle in the Hypercar class.
9:40 RELIVE: THE LEAD BATTLE
The gap between the top two now stands at over 15 seconds, with Guidi and Ye now at the helm. But if we cast our minds back to just one hour ago, it was a completely different story…
Let’s relive the fight for P1 between the two Ferraris!

9:30 STEVENS: "WE MANAGED TO SURVIVE THE NIGHT"
Earlier this morning, we heard from Will Stevens, who gave his thoughts on the race so far and what the strategy is for the end of the race. The #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA sits in sixth position after their stop, searching for a top-five finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans!
"Obviously, when it gets back to daylight, it seems to get easier, so we managed to survive the night, which is great. Now that the temperatures are starting to come up, it helps us to warm up tyres and in general to keep our tyres in a better window, so it’s actually pretty good for us.
"Not too long left now, I think there are six hours to go, so we need to keep pushing, see where we end up, we are in the hunt for a top five, I think, so we will push as hard as we can until the end. I will get some rest and get back in for the end of the race."
9:25 EARLIER DRAMAS FOR THE #311
With plenty of drama so far this morning, let’s remind ourselves of one of the key moments of the morning so far for the #311. The Cadillac suffered a mechanical issue two hours ago, with a problem which proved to be terminal.
9:20 NEW TYRES
It’s time for more pit stops, with #50 Ferrari AF Corse becoming the first of the lead cars to enter the pits once more. Miguel Molina replaces Antonio Fuoco at the wheel of the car, after a slow stop which could cost the #50 a few seconds.
Kubica followed one lap later, pitting at the end of lap 292, with the #83 changing drivers as Yifei Ye takes over the wheel. Make sure to keep your eye on Ye, who has shown some incredible pace so far at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The lead #51 has the same strategy as the chasing cars, changing tyres and driver, as Alessandro Pier Guidi takes the baton and heads back out onto the circuit. The Ferrari AF Corse gained a few seconds in the pits, extending their lead.
In terms of tyre choice, it’s the medium compound on the Ferraris, with their out-lap proving to be crucial as drivers race to get their tyres into working range!
9:15 BMW’S ESCAPE
There was a near moment for the #15 BMW, which had a quick trip to the gravel trap – luckily keeping their car moving. Dries Vanthoor has escaped the wall, but has put more gravel on the escape road, making it trickier for any cars later on.
The #15 BMW M Team WRT are continuing to have a strong race, continuing to run in sixth position ahead of the #12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA!
9:10 PERERA: "TOGETHER THEY ARE YOUNGER"
Earlier this morning, we had the pleasure of hearing from Franck Perera, who continues to fight for the lead in the LMP2 class. The 41-year-old joked about his age, but clearly it doesn’t seem to be slowing him down on the circuit!
"It’s fun, it's really nice, the confidence is getting higher for myself, the team is doing an amazing job, and my teammates are also really strong. We are fighting, so we will see at the end.
"Together they are younger than me, but they are really great and we have a good relationship. We are pushing together for one goal, and the atmosphere is very good, so we are going to give it everything, and then we’ll see!"
9:00 SIX HOURS TO GO
As the clock strikes 9:00 in the United Kingdom, it means that six hours are left in the 2025 installment of the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans. The battle remains fierce at the front, with Ferrari continuing to lead and lock out the podium after some incredible work overnight.
Further back, the #27 Heart of Racing Team has entered fourth position in the LMGT3 category, an overtake which could prove to be crucial as the race continues. The #78 Akkodis ASP Team are now demoted to fourth position.

Want to get even closer to the action? No worries, just turn over to TNT Sports 4 to enjoy the remainder of this historic race or ad-free on discovery+!
From exclusive interviews to expert analysis, TNT Sports brings you the best coverage throughout the final six hours of action!
Everything is beginning to calm down at the front as the majority of the Hypercar field have already made their next stop. The #6 is back down to fourth, allowing the three Ferraris to retake control in this race.
Matt Campbell is at the wheel of the #6 and is continuing to chase the #50 Ferrari as they start this next stint. The gap between the two drivers is around 11 seconds, and there is plenty to look out for!
Inter Europol Competition continues to lead the LMP2 field, with a 17-second gap to #48 VDS Panis Racing. It’s a similar story in the LMGT3 field as Manthey 1ST Phorm Porsche continues to lead by less than a second!
8:40 THE #83 PITS FIRST, FOLLOWED BY #51
Robert Kubica was the next Hypercar to enter the pits in the lead group, dropping to third on his out-lap. The #51 Ferrari AF Corse entered the pit lane one lap later, looking to find any advantage on his in-lap.
It’s an important round of pit stops for the lead group, with the #51 refuelling and enjoying a quick clean of the windscreen. The #6 Porsche Penske now leads, with the Porsche continuing to have good fuel consumption.
It’s all going to depend on Kubica's pace during this next stint and whether Ferrari ends up trading the positions. The #83 had a difficult out-lap, fighting his way through a lot of traffic at the start of his stint.
8:35 PIT STOPS BEGIN AT THE FRONT
The next round of pit stops has started, with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse entering the pits first after running in third position. Antonio Fuoco is in the car as the #50 looks to just take fuel during this stop.
Leaving the pits, the #50 heads out in sixth position behind the Cadillac, Toyota and Porsche, who all still have to take their next stop!
8:30 LMGT3 BATTLE FOR P3
It continues to be a high-speed game of chess for the final spot on the podium in the LMGT3 category. The #81 TF Sport Corvette is aiming to hold off the #87 Akkodis ASP Team, who are currently less than 40 seconds behind.
However, disaster would strike for the #87, who have received a drive-through penalty for their full-course yellow procedure. It was a strong race so far for the Akkodis ASP Team, who are running fourth and fifth in the LMGT3 class.
Remember, there has been plenty of drama overnight in the LMGT3 car, most notably after the #46 Team WRT BMW was forced to retire, ending Valentino Rossi, Ahmad Al Harthy and Kelvin van der Linde’s dream after an electrical issue.
8:20 KUBICA WORKS HARD BEFORE FCY
Robert Kubica is trying absolutely everything and using all of his knowledge of the Circuit de la Sarthe. The #51 Ferrari AF Corse has now received the message to allow Kubica through if he is close enough.
The full course yellow was briefly brought out, giving the marshals a chance to clean up some debris around the circuit. All eyes remained locked on this battle and what the next round of pit stops are going to look like!
Currently, it looks like the #83 should be forced to pit first, which should give the leading #51 a slight advantage.
8:10 THE TALK AT FERRARI
The #51 Ferrari AF Corse has been instructed to allow the #83 AF Corse of Kubica through if he gets close enough. Giovinazzi has been told by his engineer that they are here for ‘points’, which we all know that the Italian factory will be looking for more than just points!
The gap sits at less than two seconds after some traffic, with everyone left to wonder what is going to happen next…
8:00 JUST 7 HOURS REMAIN
The order at the front remains as it was, with Giovinazzi in the #51 leading the customer #83 AF Corse Ferrari of Kubica. The #50 Ferrari AF Corse sits in third after the #6 Porsche Penske Motorsport has just left the pits.
Ferrari are currently talking on the pit wall, with Kubica clearly stating that he is the faster driver!

7:55 DISASTER FOR THE #36
A lock-up, and a snap, the #36 Alpine Endurance team Hypercar is stuck in the gravel trap! It’s a full-course yellow on the circuit, neutralising the race to give marshals a chance to help the stranded Jules Gounon.
7:50 RACING SPIRIT OF LE MANS
It’s been a tough stint for the #10 Racing Spirit of Le Mans Aston Martin so far, who suffered contact at the final chicane, losing valuable time. Things then went from bad to worse as they have now received 10 seconds added to their next pit stop after a pit stop infringement!
7:40 LMP2 FIGHT
Over in the LMP2 category, VDS Panis Racing were first to take their next pit stop, entering the pits on lap 249. The Inter Europol Competition #43 entered the pits at the end of lap 251, with Tom Dillmann heading out for another stint.
The fight is truly on, with the #43 continuing to lead in class, now entering the top 20 overall in the last hour. The gap between the top two sits at just over two seconds, with the Inter Europol #43 trying to get their tyres up to temperature!
7:30 DÉJÀ VU
After a trip to the pits, Antonio Giovinazzi is your lead driver in the #51 Ferrari, while Robert Kubica remains in chase inside the AF Corse #83. Is this the 2019 Formula 1 season? No, it’s not, it’s the magic of the 24 Hours of Le Mans!
Kubica was very quick out of the pits, working hard to get his tyres into working temperature. The gap between the top two sits at just under four seconds, with some upcoming traffic for our leaders to deal with…
7:20 THE SUN IS SHINING
The Sun is in the air once more, with drivers enjoying a 16.9°C temperature, although the sun will start to get in their eyes at some points of the track.
In terms of weather, it looks like it will be completely dry until the chequered flag waves at 15:00 (GMT), so now it’s just a battle of pure pace!
7:10 PENALITIES
Thanks, Adam Dickinson, for your hard work overnight. My name is Lewis Rae, and I’ll be taking you through the final eight hours! Plenty of penalties are beginning to be handed out, most notably for our two race leaders, the #51 Ferrari AF Corse and the #83 AF Corse, both of which received drive-through penalties.
The leader in LMGT3, the #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm Porsche, has also received a drive-through, which will be excellent news for the Vista AF Corse Ferrari in second.
The yellow flags were also out for the #311 Cadillac Whelen, which has stopped at the side of the circuit, with Frederik Vesti at the wheel. The car looked to have lost power at the end of the main straight, with an emotional garage as their race now looks to be over.
7:05 MOMENT OF THE NIGHT
And that's all from me Adam Dickinson, I'm contractually limited to the number of daylight hours I can blog or I turn into a pumpkin meaning it's time to leave you in the capable hands of Lewis Rae!
It's a finely poised race with eight hours still to go - and if it's anything like the other two thirds we're in for a treat...

7:00 EIGHT HOURS TO GO
Ferrari have established control of the 24 Hours of Le Mans after a frantic night of action at the Circuit de la Sarthe which saw Toyota Gazoo Racing and Porsche Penske Motorsport both lead and the only safety car of the race so far.
A mistake by Phil Hanson cost #83 the lead with a eight hours gone, and now entering the final third of the race the customer AF Corse is trailing the Ferrari factory #51 by a handful of seconds once again with #50 in first for now but set to drop time at an impending driver change.
Ferrari's Hanson goes into the gravel, loses race lead - 'Front completely locked'
Video credit: TNT Sports
A storming Kevin Estre stint put Porsche in a commanding position when Cem Bolukbasi lost control entering the Mulsanne Straight, slamming into the wall with a heavy impact that saw the Turk taken to the medical centre but thankfully discharged.
The #6 led after the safety car restart but was out of sync with driver changes so soon dropped away to lead Toyota’s #8 in the lead, before Ye Yifei made the move of the night to take the lead from Ryo Hirakawa.
AF Corse lost the lead in pitstops but remain in the fight, while it could be double joy for Ferrari as #21 for Vista AF Corse looks in the LMGT3 driving seat - currently sat second but in the net lead of the class.
They received a massive boost when Valentino Rossi’s #46 Team WRT suffered an electrical issue, causing Kelvin van der Linde into the gravel before the BMW was forced to retire.
And the LMP2 class remains finely poised, with the safety car helping Inter Europol Competition #43 fight back against VDS Panis Racing #48 while DEC Sport and Iron Lynx - Proton also remain in the picture.
6:50 LATEST STANDINGS
We're almost at the two-thirds stage, as the battle between the lead Ferraris has died down somewhat with Hanson dropping to four seconds back:
Hypercar:
1. #51 Ferrari AF Corse
2. #83 AF Corse (Ferrari)
3. #50 Ferrari AF Corse
4. #8 Toyota Gazoo Racing
5. #12 Cadillac Hertz Team

5. #87 Akkodis ASP Team (Lexus)
6:40 AS WE WERE
Further down, #21 continue to look good for GT3 victory despite running second in the category so far.
It could be double success for Ferrari with Vista AF Corse 30 seconds behind Manthey 1ST Phorm #92, while in LMP2 #43 of Inter Europol and #48 VDS Panis Racing are the cars to beat.
6:30 OVERTAKE FOR THE LEAD INCOMING?
They're both on the same pit strategy and started their shifts at the same time, so this is a genuine battle for position between Brits Calado and Hanson!
Hanson is sitting around a second back as Julian Andlauer pits to swap places with Michael Christian in Porsche Penske #5, but all eyes are on the battle at the front.
The two Ferrari 499Ps are just dancing around the Circuit de la Sarthe in a league of their own right now.
6:20 HELLO PORSCHE!
James Calado and Phil Hanson are trading rapid laptimes as the race at the front looks more like a Ferrari monopoly even as Estre replicates his overnight heroics to close to with 15 seconds of #83.
Meanwhile Julien Andlauer has really closed in on Buemi and could attempt an overtake on the Swiss driver before too long, he's less than a second behind as this really looks like Porsche's hour.
And though it's not the factory team, there's more good news as the Iron Dames return to the track in their 911.
6:10 WURZ: THE VIEWERS ARE THE WINNERS
Well that's our promotion sorted (catch the rest of the race on on discovery+), thanks Alex!
Toyota looked out of this at nightfall but have fought back admirably as Buemi now lights up the timing screens with fastest laps in #8, they're looking like the most likely non-Ferrari to score a podium right now as Porsche Penske #6 remain adrift.
And Toyota Gazoo adviser spoke to TNT Sports about his team's chances:
The place we want to be is leading but that's best to be done on Sunday at four o'clock.
"So we still have time, we're chasing the Ferraris, they're extremely fast on the straight and have very good laptimes but we knew that they're strong and we keep fighting, we are there.
"We saw in the night our car was fast, we took the lead, I think we can go back to the medium tyre, when the temperature raises another 10 degress on track for the upcoming driver, hopefully we're back in the race.
"This is truly a race where the viewers at home are the winners because this is extreme battling out there. I love it."
6:00 15 DOWN, NINE TO GO
We're almost into the final third of the race! There's patches of cloud over Circuit de la Sarthe but the sun is undeniably breaking through - though not on the Iron Dames' race unfortunately.
Frey has pulled up again as it looks like the collision earlier has taken its toll on car #85. She was pitched into the gravel by the Lexus of Akkodis ASP Team #87 who have recieved a drive-through penalty (though that won't mean much to the Iron Dames), but after a reset from the garage the Porsche does get moving again.
She'll almost certainly pull into pits next lap...
5:50 RETURN OF THE BUGS?
Yesterday saw a windscreens plastered by bugs though that problem went away at night as all those creepy crawlies went to bed (luckier than some of us). But as you'll see if you tune into any of the onboard feeds live right now on discovery+, that issue is beginning to return.
Teams put on extra tear-offs for this race and every pit stop sees a mechanic clamber onto the front to wipe down the windscreen but there's only so much they can do and drivers' visibility is being more and more obstructed.
5:40 IRON DAMES IN THE GRAVEL - FULL COURSE YELLOW
Rahel Frey has been tipped into the gravel by one of the Lexuses - and an Alpine Hypercar span behind her trying to avoid a collision! It's on the second Mulsanne chicane, expect a major flurry of activity in the pitlane as the full course yellow is applied.
#85 needs the tractor to get out of the gravel - they'd been flying before that in LMGT3 - as this is just ticking up to 50 minutes of stoppages in a 24 Hours of Le Mans that's been night and day different to last year.
Up front, Kevin Estre is back in the Porsche Penske #6, can he replicate that stunning nighttime stint?
5:30 LMP2 & GT3 UPDATE
Anyone awake? You've missed an exciting night of action though it may not look like it if you have just tuned back in on TNT Sports or discovery+, with Ferrari leading the Hypercar 1-2 and VDS Panis #48 still going strong in LMP2.
Esteban Masson has put a quarter of a minute into #43 Nick Yellolly for Inter Europol but that battle has twisted and turned through the night while Ferrari are also stamping their authority on LMGT3 with Vista AF Corse #21 leading by almost 90 seconds.
5:20 WELCOME TO HAPPY HOUR
Though it's a pretty rotten start for the #99 Proton of Neel Jani. He gets crunched from the inside by another Cadillac piloted by Fred Vesti, that will be a surefire penalty for the Dane.
Then Jani ploughs straight on at Arnage, locking up and immediately jumping on team radio to blame increasing vibrations. He niftily wheels it back onto the racetrack but that's dropped him even further down to 17th overall.
With temperatures low but visibility returning after sunrise, this is usually primetime to be in the driving seat but that may not be the case as much this year due to the low number of retirements.
5:10 WATCH: FERRARI #83 RETAKE LEAD
Here is the most pivotal point of the race so far:
Ferrari retake Le Mans lead with daring Ye overtake on #8 Toyota
Video credit: TNT Sports
5:00 DAWN HAS BROKEN
Like at Helm's Deep at the climax of the second Lord of the Rings film, the night is over and dawn is breaking for our warriors of the track.
The Ferraris have all changed drivers with Phil Hanson back in the lead #83, James Calado taking over #51 and Nicklas Nielsen into the #50 which is lagging behind a tad.
All trail Matt Campbell but a really strong stint following the safety car means at least the top two are poised to retake the race lead when he stops next.
4:50 CARS TO WATCH
Former World Endurance Championship and IndyCar race engineer Lena Garde has re-entered the TNT commentary booth after a casting her sharp eye over the Hypercar field, and has some important conclusions.
In the Hypercar category, #83 is the standout car for pace, it's quite a bit quicker.
"The #4 and #5 Porsche are about the same, #6 is a good chunk quicker so far, #50 and #51 also quick, not quite as quick as the #83 but it's also explained a little bit about why we're seeing what we are in the top three or four of the Hypercar class.
"LMP2 there's one standout car, #29, but the bunch of LMP2 cars are close together, same with GT3. The GT3 cars at the moment with really good pace are the #97, #82 and #10.
4:40 LOTTERER OUT
The German has pulled up in the #18 DEC Sport and his LMP2 run is over.
That will cause a huge slow zone down most of the Mulsanne.
4:30 GOLDEN HOUR APPROACHES
10 and a half hours to go, and the sun sky is turning from black to dark blue ahead of sunrise at 6AM local time. So now is as good a time as any to check out the latest leaderboard, here's how it stands:
Hypercar:
1. #83 AF Corse (Ferrari)
2. #51 Ferrari AF Corse
3. #50 Ferrari AF Corse
4. #6 Porsche Penske
5. #89 Toyota Gazoo
LMP2:
1. #199 AO by TF
2. #28 DEC Sport
3. #18 DEC Sport
4. #48 VDS Panis
5. #43 Inter Europol
LMGT3:
1. #81 TF Sport (Corvette)
2. #21 Vista AF Corse (Ferrari)
3. #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm (Porsche)
4. #78 Akkodis ASP Team (Lexus)
5. #87 Akkodis ASP Team (Lexus)
4:20 LMP2 CLASS CONTINUES TO EVOLVE
Le Mans is a family affair for Jonas Ried, whose father Cristian runs the Iron Lynx - Proton team whose #43 car is now has just dropped to fifth in the LMP2 class after a stop.
That means Louis Deletraz and #199 now lead but they'll be switching drivers soon too, and with Ried next to go in his car now he caught up with TNT Sports:
"Being in P2 [sic] is phenomenal, the traffic you have to manage and it's not easy but with experience you deal with it.
"We have to push as far as we can but also save the car from the end, you need to be in the mix in the end so you have to push to stay in that position but also don't lose too much."
4:10 MAJOR PITSTOPS GOING DOWN
Mathieu Jaminet is the latest frontrunner to pit for a driver change in the Porsche Penske #5, Hirakawa is continuing for now but he can't have long long left.
That means, all being well, Campbell will take the lead as the lead Ferrari pair of #83 and #51 are on longer stints than the American.
In other news, animal lovers look away now as The Bend Team WRT #31 BMW M4 is 43 laps behind the leader and 12 laps behind the next best LMGT3 car having taken a very long and ongoing pitstop after hitting a rabbit.
The collision caused massive damage, and also beat up the car pretty badly so it's not clear if they'll continue.
4:00 EUROPOL BACK IN THE DRIVING SEAT
And continuing the theme of leaders returning to the front, Inter Europol where the LMP2 pacesetters earlier but dropped down overnight.
However, as Iron Lynx pit for a driver change, Jakub Smiechowski will take back over as best in category, almost a minute ahead of #199 for AO by TF.
Meanwhile Mick Schumacher has piloted the Alpine #36 since the safety car and just set that crew's fastest lap of the race. Ferdinand Hapsburg is behind the wheel of #35 so it's a pretty big-name pairing for the French team - one surname ruled motorsport, one ruled Europe.
3:50 YIFEI YE RETAKES LEAD FOR FERRARI!
Four hours after a Phil Hanson mistake gave away the net lead for Ferrari #83, Ye has completed the long road to recovery!
He almost got it done a couple of laps ago but Hirakawa just about held on, this time he defends to the inside of the second chicane just a fraction too late allowing Ye the prime run and he holds on up to the Mulsanne corner.
With Campbell 17 seconds back for Porsche, how important will that prove?
3:40 SUNRISE BECKONS
We're still in that crazy time for commentators, fans, drivers and maybe even live bloggers as the safety car period recedes in the memory, but the race at the front of Hypercar remains alive.
The top 12 are on a lead lap currently fronted by Hirakawa, a second ahead of Ye who was on the shortest stint of the frontrunners, until Matt Campbell stepped into the Porsche Penske and he's clawed back 30 seconds already.
In around an hour the sun will start to rise over the Circuit de la Sarthe and the end starts to hove into view, and we could get some pretty colours with light cloud over Le Mans right now.
3:30 RUNNING ORDER STEADIES
It looks like things could be settling down in Hypercars after that burst of excitement - if that does get you feeling down feel free to take a leaf out of Eurosport Espana colleagues' book...
Meanwhile the LMP2 race has really livened up with Louis Deletraz now within a second of Gray for AO by TF in #199.
3:20 VANTHOORS STRETCHING AWAY
Hirakawa has dropped another few seconds so is now more than six behind the leader, with Ye another five or so back.
Half a minute behind is the best battle of the race right now - that charge from Marciello may be coming back to haunt him as Pier Guidi closes to within a second of the BMW, the other Ferrari of Miguel Molina is also very close...
Now is the time to tune in to catch the rest of this battle either on our main coverage or on-board Pier Guidi, Marciello or Molina - all options are available on discovery+.
3:10 TAKING ITS TOLL
Pascal Wehrlein has dropped down the order after becoming the first frontrunner to pit following the safety car, he's down to 12th in #4 and it's more bad news for Porsche as #5 has picked up a drive-through penalty.
And after we only had a handful of retirements in the first quarter, they're starting to stack up with The Bend Team WRT calling their #31 LMGT3 into the pits.
Speaking of which, we can confirm it's an engine failure that ended #101's race, with Albuquerque's engineer telling the driver:
Sorry guys, the engine is gone. This is us dude, I'm very sorry man."
3:00 MOVERS AND SHAKERS
We're halfway through the 24 Hours of Le Mans! There's a yellow flag for the #101 Cadillac of Felipe Albequerque who pulls into a gap in the barriers and he doesn't look in any rush to restart it.
It remains a thrilling race as the fast-restarting Raffaele Marciello for BMW is up to fifth after seeing off Alessandro Pier Guidi's #51 Ferrari - who led a few hours ago - while #48 VDS Panis and #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm remain at the front of the LMP2 and LMGT3.
2:55 VANTHOOR STRETCHES LEAD
He quickly cleared two lower category cars in front of him but Hirakawa and Ye Yefei didn't have the same luck.
The Toyota is a sitting duck on the straights but is keeping clear right now as they navigate traffic.
2:51 SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP!
As the safety car period winds down, here's the leaderboard:
Hypercar:
1. #6 Porsche Penske
2. #89 Toyota Gazoo
3. #83 AF Corse (Ferrari)
4. #4 Porsche Penske
5. #20 BMW M WRT
LMP2:
1. #48 VDS Panis
2. #9 Iron Lynx - Proton
3. #43 Inter Europol
4. #18 DEC Sport
5. #28 DEC Sport
LMGT3:
1. #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm (Porsche)
2. #27 Heart of Racing Team (Aston Martin)
3. #81 TF Sport (Corvette)
4. #78 Akkodis ASP Team (Lexus)
5. #21 Vista AF Corse (Ferrari)
2:45 MERGING UNDERWAY
This allows cars to reform in Safety Car queue A, there's still more shuffling to go before we get back underway though!
2:30 HAMMERBLOW FOR LMGT3 #21
This could be huge for Vista AF Corse. Simon Mann is being investigated for joining the same safety car queue - effectively running a red light in the pitlane - and if he's found guilty that penalty will be minutes rather than second.
In the space of less than an hour, the two frontrunners in LMGT3 have both exited while there's harrowing scenes at Nielsen Racing as mechanics console each other with Bolukbasi's car out of the race while the Turk heads to the medical centre.
2:20 STATE OF PLAY
This could be big! #6 is a pack ahead of the #83 AF Corse and #8 Toyota as the latter were forced to inch round the track, then wait a long time at the end of the pitlane (though both have changed drivers).
Vanthoors remains at the wheel of the lead Porsche, likewise the LMGT3 leaders are split - there are more stages to go with this safety car of course so the picture is far from clear, but this unintended intervention from Bolukbasi has turned the race on its head.
2:12 SAFETY CAR!
THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Cem Bolukbasi has lost control entering the Mulsanne Straight and hit the barriers hard in LMP2 Nielsen Racing #24 meaning we have a safety car and now the strategy comes into play as the pitlane comes alive.
Remember, the massive Circuit de la Sarthe means we have three safety cars forming cars up into separate groups, and if you're still in the pits when one pack finishes going past you have to wait until the next one crosses the start/finish straight before rejoining.
Vanthoors has pit in #6 Porsche Penske, Kubica should follow suit for #83.
2:05 ROSSI'S DREAM IS OVER
We're within range of the halfway stage in the 24 Hours of Le Mans! But it's not a happy milestone for #46 Team WRT of Valentino Rossi as Van der Linde pulls the car back into the pits and this time it looks terminal.
And there's contact between Sarah Bovy and Lilou Wadoux in the battle for ninth in the LMGT3! The Ferrari holds onto that position while up front in Hypercars, Hartley is pushing a long stint in the #8 Toyota after Fuoco indeed dropped back in the pits.
1:55 ON THE MOVE
Antonio Fuoco has picked up a five-second penalty for corner cutting, which seems a little harsh given two lapped cars overtook him in the process, but is making it up in advance by passing Brendon Hartley's #8 Toyota which is a fair old tractor in a straight line.
He's already pushing the gap up towards the magic number five that will allow him to stay ahead next pit stop, while #46 is back on the move as Van der Linde rejoins in second-last in LMGT3.
1:45 FULL COURSE YELLOW
It's just the third FCY of the race as marshalls look to clear up debris on track. In that LMGT3 battle, Vista AF Corse are now the outright leaders, 21 seconds ahead of Mathey 1st Phorm #92.
1:40 #46 BACK ON THE MOVE
They've lost eight laps thanks to that mistake but after the crane plopped the #46 BMW M4 back on track Van de Linde was able to fire it back up. How far back up the order can they fight?
1:35 TEAM WRT ARE OFF!
Van der Linde has run into the gravel! The Dutchman ploughed off into the bunker at the Porsche Curves, it could've been an electrical failure with the headlights not shining particularly brightly, that will cause a slow zone - a very rare stoppage this race - and could end #46 and Valentino Rossi's race before halfway.
1:30 ALL CHANGE
It's just over an hour since I said there was a stalemate at the front requiring an error or magical stint to cause the next breakthrough in this race.
It's happened. A 5-second penalty, then a 25-stop-go for the then-leading #51 has caused them to plummet, and despite #83 AF Corse running off and handing the lead to the factory Ferrari team earlier, Robert Kubica is now back into the lead.
Kevin Estre's monster stint for #6 Porsche Penske has come to an end and Laurens Vanthoor will now continue the fight while Brendon Hartley is pushing #8 for Toyota further and further towards contention.
Inter Europol are back at the front of LMP2 with Gray struggling, Team WRT have dropped out of the lead in LMGT3 but after having amateur Al Harthy in on the last shift, Kelvin van der Linde should push them back into contention.
1:20 ISSUE FOR FERRARI?
The Ferrari #50 only pulled a five-lap stint with Antonio Fuoco at the wheel, they were running in the top three earlier but have had a pretty rotten night of it and will now come out in seventh, almost three minutes behind the leading Posche Penske.
Meanwhile Oliver Gray exits the pits in the #48 VDS Panis as they drop out of the lead for the first time in a long while in LMP2, with Iron Lynx - Proton taking over at the front.
Maceo Capietto is nine laps behind the leading Hypercar in #9, and 32 seconds ahead of their main rivals who are underpressure from #43 Inter Europol Racing.
1:10 BUGS PROVIDING LESS ISSUES
As you'd see if you do select the Team WRT onboard, or anyone else, the bug issue isn't so prevalent right now.
Earlier they were coating the windscreen within half a lap of exiting the pits, which was particularly problematic around sunset, but now night has well and truly fallen (it's past 2AM right now in France) all the creepy crawlies hit the proverbial hay.
The fight for the Hypercar lead continues to move away from a Ferrari monopoly and into a three-way battle between opposing manufacturers - Porsche, Toyota and Ferrari's lead cars are all within a minute of each other.
1:00 CHANGE OF LMGT3 LEAD
Things aren't looking so sharp for Ferrari right now but a Scuderia car has taken the lead in LMGT3 as Alessio Rovera completes his chase of gentleman driver Ahmad Al Harthy in #46!
As the number suggests, Valentino Rossi will be ready to jump into that one later, if you want to see how he gets on remember you can jump onto discovery+ and select his onboard once he's back in the Ferrari 296.
0:50 SETBACKS TAKING THEIR TOLL
It's a 20-second stop-go for #51! Giovinazzi drops to eighth after taking his five-second stop but this is a hammer blow to Ferrari and brought the rest of the field back into contention.
Estre has pulled a heroic shift of three hours and counting and now sits in net second place while AF Corse #83 leads but isn't showing the same economy with fuel as Calado earlier.
A three-way fight is also coming together in LMP2 - VDS have switched drivers to Franck Perera which allows Inter Europol to close to within 26 seconds in #43, still a comfortable margin but the Ferraris have shown how quickly that can be eroded.
0:40 PENALTY FOR GIOVINAZZI!
It was all going swimmingly for #51 Ferrari but things could be starting to unravel! The #6 Porsche and #8 Toyota have come up to contend for the net lead, and now Giovinazzi has been told he'll have to take a five-second penalty for contact at the next pitstop
He's also being investigated for speeding in the pitlane, as Kevin Estre continues following a quick stop.
Ferrari are still finding a way to push an extra lap per refill without dropping time but this race is starting to come together again as #83 leads overall.
0:30 "SO SLOW ON THE STRAIGHT IT'S UNBELIEVABLE"
Jack Aitken's #311 Cadillac Whelen is now the last-placed Hypercar in the race as it remains in the pits, the #007 Aston Martin has just had a driver switch with Tom Gamble taking over from Harry Tincknell and passing his prone compatriot.
Sebastian Buemi has just stepped out of the Toyota #8 and waved Brendon Hartley on his merry way, he then gave a damning interview to TNT Sports about the GR010 Hybrid, saying:
"We tried to find some pace because we're struggling compared to the Ferraris and BMW, we're so slow on the straight it's unbelievable.
"We're camped in the slipstream, we catch them and even if we're faster we just stay behind. We have no raceability, so really a shame because it's going to be hard.
"We have to pass them differently, we'll do the best we can. It's a long race but it's disappointing to not be able to fight them on the straight."
0:20 STALEMATE AT THE FRONT
This feels like the calm before the storm. Ever since that error by Hanson, #51 has held the net led for Ferrari and it's now in the hands of Antonio Giovinazzi. #6 for Porsche and customer Ferrari #83 are also rotating into the lead, as this looks like a three-way fight for now.
Behind, Bamber catches the Porsche of Christensen quickly and makes the overtake almost immediately, up into ninth for the #38 Cadillac.
It's not all sunshine for the Americans though as Jack Aitken rolls into the pitlane and stays there - this looks like a serious issue. At the front we're waiting for the next big move, or error!
0:10 BRILLIANT FIGHT FOR 11TH
It's impossible to see what's going on as three sets of headlights fly down the Mulsanne Straight, but eventually the picture clears with Earl Bamber leading fellow Cadillac #311 and the Alpine Endurance #36 of Frederic Makowiecki.
Meanwhile in the LMP2 category our early race leader #29 for TDS Racing enjoys a frustating pit stop and Clement Novalak compounds that by almost stalling the car as he exits his box.
0:05 WATCH: CHRIS HARRIS 'TOTAL IMPOSTER AT LE MANS'
The ex-Top Gear host caught up with TNT Sports on the grid:

0:00 DRIVER CHANGE FOR #51
Antonio Giovinazzi joins the fray! That means the #51 car has dropped down to seventh but only momentarily, they remain the drivers to beat overall.
And as a new day begins, remember you can tune into the rest of The 24 Hours of Le Mans and indeed the rest of the World Endurance Championship on TNT Sports and discovery+!
Not to mention the upcoming Tour de France and after today's thrilling Gallagher Premiership final, next season's rugby union action and the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
23:50 TROUBLE FOR PORSCHE
It looks like that #6 had a tyre issue (possibly a puncture) as Estre was pulled into the pits around 9 laps short compared to the rest of his stints.
There's a potentially big moment further down the order as Proton Porsche 963 out on the softs perhaps as a sacrifical lamb, Ferrari have just told Nicklas Nielsen in #50 that they're going back to the mediums.
23:35 WATCH: HOW THE LEAD WAS LOST
This was the crucial moment for Hanson:
Ferrari's Hanson goes into the gravel, loses race lead - 'Front completely locked'
Video credit: TNT Sports
23:40 HANSON BACK INTO LEAD IN #83
That Estre stop indeed happened and he's back to third behind the Ferraris #51 and #83, with Hanson recovering well from that off earlier.
Looking further down the order, VDS Panis continue to lead LMP2 category by a minute and Valentino Rossi's Team WRT have a similar margin in LMGT3 that modified BMW M4.
The good news is we've had a much cleaner race than last year so far, touch wood!
23:30 #6 RETAINS LEAD WITH ESTRE
Kevin Estre dived into the pits for a quick medium-tyre change but he remains in the lead, by a minute from the two lead Ferraris #83 and #51 which we expect to return to the front when Estre stops imminently - they currently sit a minute back.
Meanwhile TNT Sports caught up with Jean-Marc Finot, Senior VP Stellantis Motorsport, in front of the Peugeot TotalEnergies #93 that was undergoing a steering rack change and has just returned to the track. He said:
"We knew that we're not at the best we'd like to be, that's the reason why we've chosen a low-stint strategy so we're saving energy to have less pit stops than the other cars, apart from #93 it's working well."
23:20 #51 INTO THE PITS
He didn't spend too long in the lead as James Calado brings the #51 Ferrari AF Corse into the pits. He only spent 12 laps out but it was a very energy-intensive stint, Ferrari are keeping the same mediums on the car.
Kevin Estre now drives the #6 Porsche Penske into second place, the closest Hypercar battle is further back with #36 just a second behind #20 for tenth place.
23:10 #51 IMMEDIATELY PULLING AWAY
And as we're treated to a firework display and drone art show in the sky, Calado has swiftly put a couple of seconds into Hanson and the customer #83 Ferrari.
23:05 HANSON RUNS OFF! #51 TAKES THE LEAD!
Thanks very much Shayani, yes as it ticks past midnight at Le Mans I'm Adam Dickinson with the short straw overnight shift to take you through to the morning.
And It's started with a bang and a lead change! Phil Hanson runs into the gravel entering the Mulsanne and James Calado is into the lead in the #51 Ferrari!
Hanson believes it was a brake issue, telling his engineer:
The front just completely locked, have a look"
23:00 EIGHT HOURS DOWN, 16 TO GO AS #83 FERRARI DEEMED THE FAVOURITE
Eight hours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans have officially passed with the #83 AF Corse leading the majority of the way. Phil Hanson leads the pack through the night as the Ferrari train has been momentarily disturbed by a Porsche intruder.
Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi's Team WRT leads the LMGT3 race with ease in the first session of the race. Kevin Van der Linde operates Rossi's beloved team in the GT3 category, while Rossi rests from his superb opening stint.
In the LMP2 category, VDS Panis Racing has Esteban Masson at the wheel in the lead of the category. Masson has put a real damper on Inter Europol's early lead in the category, and is set to continue this masterclass throughout the night.
That's all from me, Shayni Solanki. I hope you enjoyed my live text coverage of the first session of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now to Adam Dickinson for the overnight session of the thrilling motorsport crown jewel!
22:50 ESTRE TOPS THE FIELD AS FERRARIS WAIT PATIENTLY BEHIND FOR PORSCHE TO PIT
Kevin Estre has inherited the lead of the race briefly, with 2% energy left before heading into the pits. The Ferrari 1-2-3 has been split once again with the #20 BMW, which looks to jump the Ferrari trio for the lead.
When Estre fled to the pits, the overall leader #83 Ferrari AF Corse returned to the lead of the race with Hanson at the helm.
Nielsen has fallen to fifth place after his poorly-timed penalty, but with 16 hours to go, there's more than enough time to make up the pace.
Intriguing move as Ferrari opt to split strategy in pit change with soft tyres
Video credit: TNT Sports
22:40 ESTRE SPLITS THE FERRARI'S AFTER PENALTIES APPLIED
Hanson still leads the pack heading into the early stages of the night race, extending the #83 AF Corse's overall lead in the leaderboard. However, Kevin Estre has split the Ferrari train into two as the #51 Ferrari AF Corse has fallen to third place and the #50 to fourth after being slapped with a drive-through penalty.
The energy levels at the front of the field are rather low, and we should be expecting a pit stop from Hanson and Estre shortly.
22:30 VDS LEADS LMP2 CATEGORY WHILE ROSSI'S TEAM WRT RETAINS LMGT3 LEAD THROUGH NIGHT
VDS Panis Racing has managed to challenge the #43 Inter Europol Competition team during the night race, pulling 44 seconds ahead of Smiechowski in second place in the LMP2 category. Inter Europol's lead in the leaderboard is slowly dropping as time goes on, with #48 in the lead. VDS's Masson is putting in a masterclass performance, but Smiechowski is almost an entire second quicker than the LMP2 leader.
In the LMGT3 category, Valentino Rossi's Team WRT still possesses the lead of the race with a healthy 21-second lead over Manthey. Although Rossi has completed his first stint of the race, Kevin Van der Linde has joined the squad for the night segment and leads with ease. The second-runners in the GT3 category, #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm, is operated by Ryan Hardwick, who is desperately trying to close the gap to Rossi's beloved team.

22:20 FERRARI #50 RECEIVES YELLOW FLAG INFRINGEMENT PENALTY
So far, it looked like Ferrari were the only factory team to have kept their race squeaky clean throughout the first seven hours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The #50 Ferrari AF Corse, currently running in second place, has picked up a drive-through penalty, which can cost the team up to 40 seconds in the race.
This is absolutely crucial and could knock #50 out of the top three. Unless everyone else gets a penalty too... A Toyota behind has also picked up a drive-through penalty for the same yellow flag infringement. Seven cars have received penalties for this same infringement.
Nielsen has been told to lift and coast behind his teammate Hanson, running in the lead of the race. The penalty could drop the car below the #6 Porsche, and ruin the Ferrari 1-2-3 that has been slowly brewing over the last few hours.
22:10 PORSCHE BRING THE MIGHTY ESTRE BACK
Porsche has opted to bring the eager Kevin Estre back into the race during the night segment of the race. Estre was able to bring the #6 back up to the top five in the opening stages of the race, after the car was disqualified after qualifying due to weight fluctuations.
The German motorsport giants have been rather absent throughout the race, failing to take the fight directly to Ferrari. Although Porsche has led the race, it seems as if they have only led when the Ferraris have just taken their pit stops.
However, if anyone can change the fate of Porsche, it is Estre. His remarkable opening stint saw the #6 Porsche climb 18 positions to the top of the field, and he is certainly the driver to deploy during the night.
22:00 FERRARI SPLIT STRATEGY BETWEEN CARS HEADING INTO CRUCIAL NIGHT HOURS OF THE RACE!
The winning Ferrari team has switched up the strategy to see the true advantages of different tyre compounds at Circuit de la Sarthe by splitting the strategy between cars #50 and #51. #50 came in a lap earlier to swap Miguel Molina with Nicklas Nielsen, who completed the first stint of the race. Nielsen was given the medium compound tyre for the next stint of the race, which he raced on initially in the opening stages of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Next, the #51 Ferrari AF Corse came in to swap Alessandro Pier Guidi with James Calado, who is enjoying his first stint in this outing. Calado has not been in the car since Thursday, and the use of the soft tyre compound could be a shock to the system for the night race.
Race-leader Yifei Ye was the last of the Ferrari cars to come into the pits, implementing the last of the driver swaps so Phil Hanson could take control of the #83 AF Corse. The #83 was given the medium tyres for this next stint of the race.
While Ferrari holds a comfortable lead in the overall fastest times so far, occupying the top three spots split by only a second between them, this splitting strategy could help the team decide which car is the true winner.
Stay tuned into the night's race to find out which Ferrari has the potential to end up on top.
21:50 FERRARI PREPARE TO PIT FOR DRIVER CHANGES AHEAD OF EIGHTH HOUR
After nearly seven hours, the three Ferraris are leading the way in the overall fastest times, with #83 at the top of the leaderboard. They may play it safe overnight, but the morning will bring some riskier moves to make sure that only one set of drivers can stand on the top step of the podium.
Yifei Ye leads the way as the Ferrari train navigates the traffic on track, but it is relatively calm in the early stages of the night. The #6 Porsche driven by Campbell has done an amazing job at holding onto the Ferrari pack, remaining in fourth place consistently throughout the race.
Ryo Hirakawa is the highest-placed Toyota driver on the grid at the moment, sitting in fifth place between the Porsche pack. Nasr is right behind in sixth place, driving the #4 Porsche. Andlauer is right behind in seventh place in the #5 Porsche.
21:40 HOW ARE THE F1 DRIVERS DOING?
It's a Formula 1 reunion on track currently, with a handful of former and reserve F1 drivers taking part in the night segment of the race. Kevin Magnussen is running in sixth place in his #15 BMW hypercar, fighting Toyota's Kirakawa for a spot in the top five.
Mercedes F1 Reserve Driver Frederik Vestie is right behind K-Mag, defending his #311 Cadillac from its sister car operated by Jenson Button. The F1 world champion is running in eighth place as he fights to defend his position from an eager Nasr, looking to get Porsche back up the ranks.
Former F1 driver, Nyck de Vries, is fighting #20 BMW for 13th place while his fellow former F1 driver, Mick Schumacher, is desperate to climb up from 16th place to avoid taking those nasty penalties dished out earlier. Paul Di Resta is also on track, still recovering from the shunt in the first hour of the race, as he runs in 21st place in the hypercar field.
Theo Pourchaire, former Sauber Academy Driver, is one of the only members of the F1 crop to race in the LMP2 category. He is currently sitting in 12th place on his 102nd lap, fighting the RLR M Sport for a place in the top ten.
21:30 ROSSI: "WE'RE THERE, WE CAN FIGHT"
Valentino Rossi completed his first stint of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, catapulting his WRT Team to the overall fastest time in the LMGT3 category six hours into the race.
His teammate, Kelvin van der Linde, is set to carry the burden into the night portion of the race.
Rossi told TNT Sports: "I like it a lot. I'm happy because the first stint was good, I was good.
"I was driving well, my pace was not so bad.
"And also, I did not make a mistake.
"We worked well with the team, about the strategy and everything.
"We're there. We can fight at the moment, we can fight.
"And it's a fantastic feeling, because when you are in front, everything is more fun.
"When I do a lot of laps like this in a row, you can find a way also to improve some line, some gear, everywhere, like this, and I enjoy."
21:20 PORSCHE BRIEFLY ON TOP TIL FERRARI TRAIN STORMS PAST (AGAIN)
The hypercar drivers have encountered traffic with the LMGT3 drivers once again as the Ferrari train at the front of the pack looked for a way to get rid of the Porsche. For a brief moment, Campbell's #6 Porsche stole the lead of the race after Ye entered the pits. It could have been a problem with the traffic of the GT3 cars, but Ye managed to outmanoeuvre the Porsche and chase it down. Campbell's energy was at an all-time low, and he rushed to the pits for an energy boost.
Once again, it is a Ferrari 1-2-3 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The red glistens in the headlights of the night race, and there really is nothing more gorgeous than a train of Ferraris leading the pack around Circuit de la Sarthe.
21:10 FERRARI AND PORSCHE PIT, WEHRLEIN SWAPPED FOR NASR
The leading Ferrari stopped for a quick pit stop, handing the lead to #83 AF Corse Ye. There have been no driver changes at Ferrari, so Molina runs in third place and Pier Guidi runs in fourth on Lap 100.
Porsche, however, did opt for a driver change. The #4 Porsche Penske car swapped driver Pascal Wehrlein for Felipe Nasr, as we head into the night segment of the race.
All the Ferrari drivers have been incredibly strong throughout the race so far, with Robert Kubica and Antonio Giovinazzi really putting in the work to pull away from the rest of the pack. Although Porsche has been keeping itself in the hunt, Ferrari seems to be running with ease.
So far, there have been barely ten full minutes in the last six hours that did not have three Ferrari cars in the top five. We may have 18 hours left, but Ferrari are building an early lead.
21:00 SIX DOWN, 18 TO GO!
Another glorious hour has passed during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We have watched six hours of racing around Circuit de la Sarthe, and now we enter a new segment of the race - the night race.
The sun has set in Le Mans, and the headlights are on. Currently, Ferrari leads the hyperbole category with a 1-2-3 with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse. Valentino Rossi's WRT Team is the fastest overall in the LMGT3 category, but the MotoGP legend has swapped with Kevin van der Linde for this next stint.
As expected, the #43 Inter Europol Competition team is fastest overall in the LMP2 category, having led a majority of the laps. However, their rivals, VDS Panis Racing, hold an eight-second lead over AO by TF in second place.
20:50 YELLOW FLAGS CALLED AS MCLAREN HYPERCAR STUCK IN FIRST SECTOR
Yellow flags have been waved as the #95 McLaren GT3 car has stopped at the second chicane. The United Autosports car driven by Darren Leung slowed to a halt on track and left its sister car, #59, alone on track. It should be a relatively easy fix, but a full-course yellow was brought into the race on Lap 93. Luckily, it was brief, and the drivers were able to get back under racing conditions shortly after.
Only two cars have retired from the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is absolutely shocking! The pack may be playing it safe, or the cars have simply become unbelievably reliable.
20:40 INTER EUROPOL FASTEST OVERALL IN LMP2 CATEGORY WHILE FERRARI ARE COSY WITH 1-2-3 LEAD IN HYPERCAR FIELD
#43 Inter Europol Competition car is the overall leader of the LMP2 category so far, having led the most amount of laps in its category throughout the 24 Hours of Le Mans so far.
Meanwhile, Ferrari still occupies a 1-2-3 in the hypercar category with a comfortable lead to the nearest Porsche in fourth place. The #6 Porsche Penske sits 24.511s behind the third-running Ferrari driven by Ye. Molina is comfortable leading the #50 Ferrari AF Corse, but driver visibility is reducing as golden hour has passed, and the darkness begins to set in.
These conditions are bound to drastically change the race as the track temperature falls gradually overnight, as well as the humidity around the circuit. Night racing will begin shortly and an entirely new adventure around Circuit de la Sarthe is set to take place.
20:30 BUTTON FIGHTS WITH FELLOW F1 ALUMNI FOR TRACK POSITIONS
The #6 Porsche driven by Campbell inherited the lead of the race after the #83 AF Corse took a pit stop. Ye came out behind Molina and Pier Guidi in second and third place.
Some chaos unfolded when Cadillac's Frederik Vesti nearly shunted the back of a GT3 car as the sun began to set around Circuit de la Sarthe. He backed up Toyota's de Vries and put him under pressure from the Cadillac behind. This allowed Jenson Button to jump de Vries for 12th place on Lap 88 and set his sights on Vestie in 11th place.
At the front of the back, Ferrari has returned to the 1-2-3 running with Molina at the front of the pack ahead of Pier Guidi and Ye. The #50 Ferrari AF Corse leads with a six-second gap to its sister car, and an 11-second gap to the #83 AF Corse.

20:20 YE TAKES LEAD OF RACE WITH #83 FERRARI
Ye has taken the lead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #83 car after the #50 Ferrari AF Corse stopped for a pit stop. The #6 Porsche driven by Campbell has taken the second spot in the hypercar field, but has yet to take a pit stop. Molina and Pier Guidi occupy the third and fourth slots in the field respectively, running consistently the quickest across the different manufacturers.
The LMP2 category sees a new leader in the #48 VDS Panis Racing car, driven by Gray. The Iron Lynx team follow closely behind with De Gerus at the helm. Previous leader #43 Inter Europol Competition car has dropped to third in the LMP2 race but is on the hunt for the lead once again.
In the LMGT3 category, Valentino Rossi is inching closer and closer to the lead as he closes the 12-second gap down to the #92 Manthey 1ST Phorm car, driven by Pera.
20:10 F1 CHAMPION BUTTON JOINS FIELD WITH CADILLAC
Jenson Button has taken to the field in his #38 Cadillac, replacing Sebastien Bourdais. The Formula 1 world champion joined the field in 15th place, gaining one position on Lap 84 to take the fight to his sister car #84. His fellow Formula 1 alumni, Mick Schumacher and Nyck de Vries, join him on track in 17th and 16th place, respectively.
20:00 IT IS A FERRARI 1-2-3 AGAIN AS WE PASS FIVE HOURS OF RACING
It is a Ferrari 1-2-3 again with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse in the lead, with Molina leading his sister car by 11 seconds. Pier Guidi sits in second place comfortably in the #51 Ferrari AF Corse, eight seconds ahead of Ye in the #83 AF Corse.
Valentino Rossi leads the LMGT3 category in his #46 WRT, while the #48 VDS Panis Racing is at the front of the LMP2 pack.
We have breezed through five hours of racing, and there are 19 to go in the thrilling 24 Hours of Le Mans.
19:50 PEUGOT IN SECOND BEFORE PIT STOP
Peugeot is surprisingly running in second place on Lap 77, matching the pace of the leading Ferrari AF Corse #50. The #94 Peugeot is being driven by Stoffel Vandoorne, a current Formula E driver who is competing alongside fellow drivers Sebastien Buemi and Pascal Wehrlein. The Peugeot 9X8 is running better than expected, having overtaken the pole-sitting Cadillacs. Vandoorne is sandwiched between two Ferraris, with #50 in the lead with Molina and #51 in third with Pier Guidi, who replaced Antonio Giovinazzi.
In the LMP2 category, the #43 Inter Europol Competition car is still in the lead, while the second-place runner switches up regularly. This time, Yelloly is at the helm, but the Oreca 07-Gibson car seems to be running smoothly for the team.
19:40 PORSCHE INHERIT LEAD AS KUBICA PITS FOR DRIVER CHANGE, MOLINA GAINS IT BACK
The #6 Porsche Penske inherits the lead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Lap 75 as the #83 AF Corse heads to the pits for a driver change. Kubica ended his P1 stint by gifting Yifei Ye with a fifth-place position in the hypercar field. Vanthoor has yet to pit, so his lead sits at 1:04.149s over the #50 Ferrari AF Corse, driven by Molina.
Vanthoor pit on Lap 76, and the lead was given back to Ferrari.
19:36 FERRARI AND PORSCHE GO FOR DRIVER CHANGES
Ferrari opt for a driver change with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse car, swapping Fuoco for Miguel Molina on Lap 72. Giovinazzi is subbed for Alessandro Pier Guidi in the #51 car also, dropping the Ferrari AF Corse to 11th on Lap 73. The #83 Ferrari takes the lead of the race as the other two Ferrari hypercars head to the pits for a driver change.
Formula E reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein has entered the track, replacing Tandy in the #4 Porsche Penske. He joins the pack in 10th place, racing the #20 BMW for the position. Vanthoor still drives the #6 Porsche, battling with Kubica for the lead of the race.
19:30 IRON DAMES LEAD LMGT3 CATEGORY WITH BOVY
The Iron Dames have taken the lead of the LMGT3 category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with 20 hours to go. After filling in for Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy has launched the Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 up to first place in the GT field, passing Valentino Rossi on pure pace. Celia Martin and Bovy have taken Iron Dames from 19th to the top of the field.
Her stint in P1 was short, though, as the #85 car came into the pits for a driver swap back to Martin.

19:20 GIOVINAZZI SNEAKS UP ON KUBICA IN HUNT FOR SECOND PLACE
A battle has struck up between the two Ferraris heading side-by-side into the Indianapolis corner. Kubica, owing a penalty, is under pressure from Giovinazzi who desperately wants his #51 Ferrari AF Corse in the lead. Giovinazzi searched for a way around Kubica, but the #83 driver shut the door in his face as he sped ahead of his sister car. There are no team orders at Ferrari (in endurance racing), and the drivers are free to challenge each other.
Kubica has told his team that he will let Giovinazzi pass for second place, only on his terms, though. The scuffle has brought the Porsche of Vanthoor close to Giovinazzi once again, losing the gap they created a lap before. Meanwhile, their leading teammate, Fuoco, has a 20-second lead over the other two Ferraris as he cosily drives around Circuit de la Sarthe.
19:10 FERRARI LEAD 1-2-3
On Lap 66, Ferrari holds the top three spots in the hypercar category as they lead the way around Circuit de la Sarthe with #50, #86, and #51. Fuoco is at the helm of the Ferrari leading train, with Kubica 16 seconds behind last year's winner. Fellow 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Giovinnazi, is sitting comfortably in third place, just two seconds behind Kubica's #83 AF Corse.
19:00 FOUR DOWN, 20 TO GO!
We are officially four hours into the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and it has flown by. Ferrari has overtaken Porsche at the helm, and rotates between three cars in the lead of the race.
The battle is lit between the Ferraris, as they look for a way around the #6 Porsche running in third place. Both Kubica and Giovinazzi tried to overtake the Porsche, running side-by-side into the straight until Vanthoor pulled ahead and left the Ferraris in the dust. At one point, Vanthoor was sandwiched between two eager Ferraris on the exit of the chicane.
Their pace, however, is far quicker than the Porsche, and Kubica proved it when he snatched third place from Vanthoor on Lap 64. They have reported some contact between the two drivers on the curb, but Kubica managed to salvage the car and remain on track.
Vanthoor took the fight back to the racing icon and snatched back his position for the net-second-place. In an instant, Kubica showed fans his resilience and took third place back on the straight. Kubica picked up a five-second penalty for the cheeky move from the slipstream into the Indianapolis corner.
18:55 IRON DAME BOVY TARGETS ROSSI FOR GT3 LEAD
The Iron Dames are doing well so far, despite their last-minute driver swap from Michelle Gatting to Sarah Bovy. Bovy is running in fourth place in the LMGT3 category behind the Manthey 1ST Phorm car. Bovy has set her sights on Valentino Rossi, who occupies the second fastest time in the GT3 category, with the new leader being the #21 Vista AF Corse. Rossi is running 30 seconds ahead of the Iron Dame, but there are 20 hours left for the Iron Dames to work their magic and make Gatting proud.
18:50 LEADING FERRARIS HEAD TO PITS, REPLACED BY KUBICA'S #83 FERRARI
The race-leading #50 Ferrari AF Corse has finally taken a pit stop after a beautiful run at the front of the pack. Fuoco was followed by the #51 Ferrari AF Corse driven by Giovinazzi. Funnily enough, the third Ferrari in the top five, the #83 driven by Robert Kubica, inherited the lead.

18:40 ROSSI TAKES TO THE STAGE
Valentino Rossi enters the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Lap 58, for the WRT #46 car. The motorcycling icon has been dipping his toes into supercar racing over the last few years, competing in the World Endurance Championship in addition to his entries into the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
He joins the field in third place in the LMGT3 field, roughly 12 seconds behind the Akkodis ASP Team car in the lead of the category.
18:40 FERRARI BUILDS GAP AT THE FRONT WHILE ALPINE PICK UP PENALTIES
The #50 Ferrari AF Corse has created a brilliant gap to the #6 Porsche, pulling 21.880s ahead of Vanthoor by Lap 58. Fuoco pulled off the overtake on Jaminet for the lead earlier, and sealed the deal by speeding ahead of Ferrari's nearest competitor. Giovinazzi, however, sits just 0.5s behind the Porsche and looks for a way around the Porsche Penske.
Further back, the Alpines have picked up two penalties for speeding in the pitlane, destroying their pace only three and a half hours into the race. The Alpines are down in 15th and 17th at this stage, and this penalty certainly doesn't help their pace.
18:30 FULL COURSE YELLOW!
We are back to green racing conditions, and fans are gifted with the sight of the legendary Kamui Kobayashi on track. The racing icon has donned a special livery for his appearance in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, celebrating his long-standing partnership with Toyota. The icon was battling it out for 12th place with Proton's Nicolas Varrone when a full-course yellow was called after a car spun on track and slammed into the barriers.
There was contact with an LMP2 car, which caused the shunt.
18:20 CHAOS UNFOLDS AS MUSTANG CRASHES INTO WALL, #25 ALGARVE SMOKING ON TRACK
Ferrari made some excellent advancements for places in the top five of the hypercar category, with Giovinazzi jumping Jaminet for third place in an excellent move around the outside. The former winner here knows what it takes to be victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, pushing the #51 Ferrari AF Corse to the absolute limit. Giovinazzi is just one position away from joining his sister car, the #50 Ferrari AF Corse, on the front row. The #5 Porsche driver Jaminet tried to snatch the move back after exiting the chicane nearing the straight, but the Ferrari's straight-line speed is far superior to the Porsche's.
One of the four Mustangs has suffered a big shunt into the wall, bringing out a yellow flag on Lap 52. The right rear tyre of the car was set free on the exit of the corner, literally flying into the air after taking the curb too hard. A tractor has been placed on the circuit to lift the GT car behind the barrier. It took a handful of marshals to remove the tyres from the track.
It looks like the #25 Algarve Pro Racing car is smoking through the middle sector of the circuit, with a smashed front and a dodgy-looking rear. Unfortunately for Matthias Kaiser, this will not be an easy fix. He tumbled down the order, now at the bottom of the LMP2 field.
18:10 THREE FERRARIS IN THE TOP FIVE
There are currently three Ferrari cars in the top ten of the hypercar category, with the #50 occupying the lead of the race. The #51 Ferrari AF Corse, driven by Giovinaazzi, is running in fourth place behind the #5 Porsche of Jaminet. Behind, the #83 AF Corse is sitting comfortably in fifth place as Kubica has managed to pull two seconds ahead of the Cadillac driven by Drugovich, who chose the 24 Hours of Le Mans over a chance to drive for Aston Martin at the Canadian Grand Prix. He certainly chose well, as he fights with the Ferrari for a spot in the top five of the race so far.

18:00 FERRARI HOLD ONTO LEAD AS THIRD HOUR PASSES, 21 LEFT
Robert Kubica has climbed up to second place after the #50 Ferrari, driven by Fuoco, stopped for a pit stop and gave the lead to the #6 Porsche. Vanthoor leads the hypercars around Circuit de la Sarthe. The lead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has swapped between the Porsche and Ferrari consistently throughout the first three hours of the race, as the two iconic manufacturers both search for glory at the legendary circuit. The #50 Ferrari regained he lead on Lap 50 as the drivers stormed through the circuit.
50 laps have passed as we head into the fourth hour of racing during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In three hours, the Pracing Horse pack have truly shown their speed on a straight line, jumping the Cadillacs and Porsches on every straight they can dive through.
17:50 INTER EUROPOL COMPETITION LEADS LMP2 CATEGORY
The LMP2 field sees the #43 Inter Europol Competition car keep the lead of the category ahead of the RLR M Sport. The #43 car has a 19-second lead over the #16 RLR, showcasing one of the most dominant starts to the race so far.
In the LMGT3 category, the #78 Akkodis ASP Team leads the way for the GT cars as the Proton Competition follows closely behind. The Ferraris seem to have dropped off, falling 15 seconds behind the Akkodis on Lap 41.
17:40 FUOCO GAINS FERRARI THE LEAD OF THE RACE!
Fuoco, driving the #50 Ferrari AF Corse, had the opportunity to snatch the lead from Jaminet on Lap 42. The Porsche driver put in an excellent defensive display around the rubbery corner, forcing the Ferrari to abandon the move. However, Fuoco utilised the Ferrari's brilliant straight line speed to follow directly behind the Porsche into the straight and swap positions around the outside of the corner.
Jaminet tried to get the place back into the chicane, but the Ferrari prevailed and held onto the lead of the race. His sister cars are as close as ever, with Giovinazzi in fifth place and Robert Kubica in 11th place.

17:35 BUEMI: "WE ARE A BIT SLOW ON THE STRAIGHT"
Le Mans legend Sebastien Buemi has picked up four victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and hopes to gain another one in 2025. Loyal to Toyota, he started the race for the team and ran for two hours before giving the seat to Brendon Hartley.
Buemi told TNT Sports: "Yeah, quite happy. I mean, confident.
"It's just the start of a very long race.
"Yeah, we start to see a little bit of our strengths and weaknesses.
"We are little bit slow on the straight, to be able, to be honest, but we seem to have a good car in the first sector, and also, degradation was not bad, so I feel like we're getting slightly better.
"So we keep pushing, and we'll see where we are once, once it's a little bit colder and the night comes, because that will be, you know, a big difference.
"For the moment, we don't really think about it at all, because it is such a long way and we are not in a position to win right now.
"So let's just think about the next in the next lap, and hopefully we are still there tomorrow, fighting."
17:30 GIOVINAZZI HUNTS HARTLEY FOR FIFTH PLACE
Porsche continue to lead the first session of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this time with the #5 Porsche Penske driven by Jaminet. The challenge is close though, with the #50 Ferrari AF Corse right behind in second place. There is just a three-second gap from the Ferrari to the leading Porsche, and the Ferrari is ever-so-slightly quicker than the Porsche.
Once again, the Ferrari is sandwiched by Porsche as the #6 car driven by Vanthoor is right on the tail of the Ferrari. Cadillac have improved their standing and climbed back up to fourth place after their driver swap saw Felipe Drugovich take the #311 Cadillac directly into the fight.
Former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Brendon Hartley, has placed the #8 Toyota in fifth place. The Toyota driver is under pressure from the #51 Ferrari, which has much quicker speed in a straight line than the Toyota. Giovinazzi, another 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, is right on the back of his tail as he looks for a way around the Toyota through the GT car traffic.
Giovinazzi managed to pull off a spectacular overtake on Hartley, passing him on the straight after tailing him on Lap 41. This moves the #51 Ferrari AF Corse up to fifth place, now behind the #311 Cadillac.
17:20 DRIVER CHANGES IN PORSCHE AND FERRARI CHANGE THE GAME
The leading Porsche has fled to the pit lane for their first driver change, swapping Andlauer for Mathieu Jaminet in the #5 and Nick Tandy in the #4. This hands the lead to the #6 Porsche with Kevin Estre at the top with a 22-second lead over the #83 AF Corse.
Ferrari has also opted for an early driver change, with the #51 welcoming Le Mans winner Antonio Giovinazzi to the race. Antonio Fuoco also joins the Ferrari line-up for his first appearance in the race this year, driving the #50 Ferrari AF Corse.
Upon joining the hypercar field, Fuoco in the #50 Ferrari has climbed up to fourth place after a quick move on the #6 Porsche. Giovinazzi battled behind with the #15 BMW for an eighth-place spot in the top ten, but there was a big lock-up from the #12 Cadillac driven by Will Stevens, which threw a big spanner in the works. Stevens has been on the same tyres for almost 36 laps, having re-used the tyres in his last stop. The car almost bumped the back of Giovinazzi's Ferrari, which has seemingly picked up a lot of heat in the tyres very quickly.
The legendary Robert Kubica has joined the field in the #83 AF Corse, running in 12th place on Lap 38 of the race. These driver changes have changed the game as team orders saw Stevens forced to give his 10th place position to his sister car, the #38 Cadillac, driven by Earl Bamber.
17:10 PORSCHE LEAD THE WAY
The track has become incredibly dirty around the inside of the middle sector, with drivers having to avoid debris throughout Circuit de la Sarthe. The next round of pit stops is underway as the #50 Ferrari drops to 11th place after leaving the pits, handing third place to the #311 Cadillac of Jack Aitken.
Andlauer still leads the way in his #5 Porsche on Lap 35, having pulled 10s ahead of his sister Porsche car #6. Estre's #6 Porsche has climbed up to second place in an excellent first stint for the Danish driver.
Toyota found themselves in fourth place before taking a pit stop, with Formula E driver Sebastien Buemi fighting with the #51 Ferrari to keep his position.
17:00 TWO DOWN, 22 TO GO!
We are officially two hours into the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the battle between Porsche and Ferrari is rife. The German motorsport giants have led a majority of the first 30 laps after overtaking Cadillac on the first corner, but their pace is dropping as the horse prances behind. Ferrari is gaining more speed on each lap, and their tyre wear is much better than the rest of the field.
Kevin Estre, driving the #6 Porsche, is so far the star of the show. Estre managed to catapult the Porsche up to the lead of the race at one point, after starting at the back of the field due to a disqualification after qualifying. The French driver won in the GTE Pro category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 2018, and claimed the World Endurance Championship title last year. If there is a driver on the field who can pull off a back-to-front charge, it's Kevin Estre.

16:50 CADILLAC TEAM ORDERS INCOMING
The Porsches have started to slow down after the first two hours of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the Ferrari pack speeding up as each lap passes. Although there is a Porsche in the lead of the race, Ferrari's sector times are slightly quicker than the race leader. Meanwhile, some Cadillac team orders are being distributed through its cars, with three Cadillacs running in fourth, fifth and sixth place on Lap 30. The #12 Cadillac is hoping to squeeze past its sister car, the #4.
16:40 PORSCHE VS FERRARI BATTLE AT THE FRONT OF THE HYPERCAR PACK
Nicklas Nielson of the #50 Ferrari squeezed around the inside of the #6 Porsche for fourth place on the 25th lap of the 24-hour race. Kevin Estre did a magnificent job of getting his Porsche to the lead, then back up to fourth after his pit stop, before losing the position to the speedy Ferrari. However, the Ferrari in the lead of the race, #83, handed the top spot back to Andlauer driving the #5 Porsche after heading to the pits. This brought the #50 Ferrari up to second place, sandwiched between the #5 and #6 Porsche cars.
In the LMP2 field, the Inter Europol Competition car #43, driven by Dilmann, retained the lead of the race he established earlier in the race. The #28 IDEC Sport sits behind, battling with the #16 RLR M Sport for second place. The LMGT3 category sees the #46 Team WRT occupy the leading spot ahead of the #10 Racing Spirit of Leman. This is a pure fight between manufacturers BMW and Aston Martin as the racing green car shot up to the lead of the GT3 pack just a lap later, pulling off a move around the outside of the WRT.
16:30 FERRARI LEADS THE WAY AS PORSCHE HEAD TO PITS
An hour and a half has elapsed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and Porsche has remained in the lead of the race since the first corner. This time, it is the #6 Porsche driven by Kevin Estre who has shot up to the front of the pack after starting from the back of the pack. He is joined in the top two by fellow Porsche driver Felipe Nasr, who drives the #4 Porsche. The Porsche duo are followed by the #83 AF Corse, which is setting the best sector times of the race.
On Lap 25, the #83 AF Corse shot up to the lead of the race in an instant as the Porsche duo opted for a quick pit stop for more energy. This marks the first time in this running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that a Ferrari leads the way.
16:20 SECOND ROUND OF PIT STOPS OPENING
Kevin Estre has catapulted the #6 Porsche to fourth place after jumping the #311 Cadillac for the position in a bold move around Jack Aitken. Estre has put in a blisteringly quick performance around Circuit de la Sarthe to gain 17 positions in just 21 laps of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Traffic has resumed as the hypercars have to dive in and out of the GT3 cars. This provided more chances for the pack to gain more positions, with the #83 Ferrari jumping the #7 for 12th place through the traffic. The Ferrari cars seem to be catching up to the rest of the pack as the other drivers start to report slowing sector times across the field.
Currently, Nicklas Nielson of the #50 Ferrari is running almost a second-a-lap quicker than the rest of the hypercar field. The Danish driver was battling it out with the #12 Cadillac, driven by Will Stevens, both suffering from low energy. The battle was cut short as the two fighters headed towards the pit lane, switching the armour over to the pit crew. The fight is now in the hands of the mechanics of the garage, with both cars hoping to get the cars serviced as quick as possible.
The Cadillac got out of the pitlane first, with the Ferrari following closely behind.
16:08 FERRARI ON THE HUNT FOR CADILLAC
After 17 laps of building up speed, the #50 Ferrari AF Corse has finally overtaken the #38 Cadillac for third place. The Ferrari has had much better straight-line speed on Circuit de la Sarthe, and put it to great use to pull off an overtake on Bamber heading through the middle sector of the track. The Ferrari is hopefully on course to challenge the Porsche for the lead of the race, and potentially for a victory.
The pack at the helm of the race are closer than the leading Porsche ideally wants, as the fight between the #50 Ferrari and the #12 Cadillac heats up. There is just a three-second gap between the two, as the Cadillac struggles to pull away during the straight lines.
16:00 DI RESTA SHUNTS INTO BARRIER OVER PORSCHE CURB
Paul Di Resta just suffered a massive shunt into the barrier after jumping the Porsche curb on Lap 16 of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, getting serious damage to the car. He charged into the corner in an attempt to run through the GT3 traffic, but ran wide through the Porsche curb and sped off the circuit. The first yellow flag has been called as he dragged the car to the pitlane for a hopeful fix.
16:00 AN HOUR DOWN, 23 TO GO
An hour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been completed, and so far, Porsche looks to be the strongest contender in the hypercar field. In the LMP2 category, the Inter Europol Competition car #43 is in the lead with a four-second lead over the #28 IDEC Sport. The LMGT3 fight sees the #78 Akkodis ASP Team hold a five-second lead over the #10 Racing Spirit of Leman.
The best sector times in the hypercar category at this stage is coming from Kevin Estre of the #6 Porsche Penske. Estre has put in an excellent performance, climbing from the back of the field up to fifth place by Lap 15. Estre set a best lap of 3:28.125s, sitting behind the #50 Ferrari AF Corse.
15:50 #5 PORSCHE RETURNS TO LEAD AFTER FIRST ROUND OF PIT STOPS COMPLETED
The #4 Porsche has continued onto Lap 12 as the race-leader of the #5 Porsche headed to the pits for a quick stop, opting to undercut the Ferrari. The #50 Ferrari AF Corse followed suit, but left the pits in seventh place compared to the Porsche's fourth-place exit. Porsche seems to be aware of their true competition, Ferrari. Nasr in the #4 Porsche has luckily inherited #5's 12-second lead over the second runner of the #83 AF Corse. Porsche has shown a surprising amount of speed in the early stages of the race, with most predicting that the Ferrari drivers would jump ahead with ease. However, there are still 23 hours and 10 minutes to go in this long and gruelling fight for glory.
Andlauer regained the lead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Lap 13 after his fellow Porsche driver, Nasr of the #4 Porsche headed to the pits for the final pit stops of the first round. The Cadillac duo of #12 and #38 have rejoined the battle for the lead with Stevens and Bamber climbing up to second and third place. The pack is as close as ever after the first round of pit stops closed the gap built by the race leaders.
The leading Porsche looked safer than the cars behind, as Andlauer began to pull away from the rest of the pack. Behind, the #4 Porsche fell under severe pressure from the #7 Toyota, which looked for a way around Nasr. Conway almost collided with the Porsche's rear but saved the position, and continued the hunt for a top-ten place in the hypercar field.

15:43 CADILLAC HEADS TO PITS
Both Cadillacs in the top two have fled to the pits, one lap earlier than the rivals around them. This hands the leading spots to the Porsche duo of #5 and #4, hoping to pull away from the speedy #50 Ferrari AF Corse in third place. The Cadillacs dropped to 15th and 16th place in the hypercar field, sandwiched between the #009 Aston Martin and #20 BMW.
15:38 LMP2 PIT STOPS SHAKE UP ORDER
Iron Lynx have managed to climb up to third place in the LMGT3 fight for the victory, with their targets set on the #78 Akkodis ahead in second place. The gap between the top three in the GT3 category is growing as the leading GT3 car #27 Heart of Racing has pulled six seconds away from the rest of the pack.
Pit stops have shaken up the order in the LMP2 category on Lap 9 as the Heart of Racing leader tumbled down the order, gifting the lead to the Aston Martin. With pit stops, the AF Corse shot up to third place before heading into the pits.
15:30 KEVIN ESTRE ON A ROLL AS PORSCHE LOOK AS STRONG AS EVER
The first of the pit calls comes from Aston Martin Thor, who pitted to resolve an issue five laps into the race. The #009 Aston, driven by Marco Sorensen, fled to the pits rather randomly and remained stationary for longer than predicted.
Meanwhile, at the front of the pack, the #5 Porsche Penske car leads the #12 Cadillac by 3.1s as the gap slowly increases with each lap. Another Porsche, however, is struggling in fourth place as the #50 Ferrari AF Corse is riding right on the tail of the #4 Porsche Penske. Le Mans victor Nicklas Nielsen begins to put the pressure on Felipe Nasr as the Ferrari really starts to show its speed. The gap between the two is just 0.8s as they head through the traffic in the GT3 pack.
The hypercars are bunched together on Lap 6 as they pass through the GT3 pack in the middle sector of the race. Andlauer managed to breeze through the GT3 cars with ease, retaining his four-second lead to the Cadillac behind which seemed to get stuck in the traffic.
A battle between the Cadillac cars was briefly ignited as the #12 Cadillac was forced to defend from #38 through the traffic. Stevens had to shut the door on Bamber through the middle sector, avoiding hitting the GT3 cars in the intense traffic. Inconvenient for the drivers, but fun for the fans, the traffic has provided some drivers with the opportunity to pounce on their rivals.
The #6 Porsche Penske driven by Kevin Estre has shot up to seventh place with an impressive move on the #15 BMW. Kevin Magnussen tried to defend the place but Estre squeezed through the tiny gap and snatched the place. This has been a dreamy drive from Estre, having been disqualified after qualifying and demoted to 21st place.
15:18 FERRARI ARE SLOWLY BUILDING UP SPEED
There is a gap being created across the hypercar field as the leading Porsche has managed to pull 2.5s away from the Cadillac duo behind. However, it is the early stage of the race, and quite frankly, anything can happen. Behind the leaders, the #20 BMW has lost eighth place to the #311 Cadillac, driven by Jack Aitken. The BMW has been put under pressure by the speedy Ferrari AF Corse sitting behind in ninth place, last year's winning car. Aitken has been reporting to his team all weekend that their straight-line speed is a lot slower than the other cars, which we can see in his pursuit of the former Formula 1 driver, Kevin Magnussen of the #15 BMW.
Three laps around Circuit de la Sarthe have been completed, and the LMGT3 category is full of thrilling racing. The Vista AF Corse Ferrari took a risky lunge down the inside of the #88 Proton Competition, which managed to keep both cars on track by running wide.
15:10 PORSCHE LOOK COSY IN THE HYPERCAR LEAD
Just as Porsche would like to see, the #5 Porsche Penske leads the way through the opening stages of the race, with Justin Andlauer at the helm. Andlauer usurped the lead from the #12 Cadillac on the opening lap and managed to set the best sector times so far with a best lap of 3:28.312s. The two Cadillac cars, #12 and #38, are sitting closely behind as the Porsche has yet to pull away, but can't seem to reach their blisteringly quick qualifying pace just yet.
The weather is fairly neutral this afternoon in Le Mans, with no sign of rain or heat. The drivers are lucky to experience such ideal racing conditions with the tyre temperature easy to build in the warm weather. Speaking of, Ferrari seem to be building the temperature in their tyres and are setting faster times each lap. The #50 Ferrari has the best Sector 2 time across the hypercar field, with a 1:19.352s.
15:00 OFF WE GO FOR THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS
The green flag drops and the 24 hours of Le Mans has begun! Already, the cars run two-by-two into the first corner as the Cadillac speeds ahead of the rest of the pack. The hypercars get off to a clean start as Stevens leads the cars through the first sector of the circuit. A quick lunge sees the Porsche Penske snatch the first position from the Cadillac by the seventh corner. Andlauer leads the 24 Hours of Le Mans ahead of two Cadillac cars, with the #4 Porsche Penske sandwiching the Cadillac duo.

GT3 racing is alive, as always, with the #21 Ferrari sitting in third place on the opening lap of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 62 cars have miraculously managed to complete the first lap around Circuit de la Sarthe in an oddly clean opening lap of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

14:52PORSCHE’S PURSUIT OF 20 VICTORIES
Porsche is on the hunt for their 20th victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The German motorsport giants have so far claimed 19 victories at Circuit de la Sarthe, with a range of exciting wins throughout their history.
They have failed to take the challenge to Ferrari in the last few years, with the Prancing Horse securing the last two wins. Porsche’s last victory was back in 2017, and there is nothing more they would want than to stand on that top step once again.
The real question is, can Porsche overcome the power of Ferrari and Cadillac?
14:48 WHO TO LOOK OUT FOR
Pascal Wehrlein (#4 Porsche 963, Hypercar): The reigning Formula E champion is making his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut today with Porsche. His transition from electric cars to hypercars will be one to keep an eye on.
Kamui Kobayashi (#7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, Hypercar): The Japanese motorsport legend is making his return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, searching for a second victory with his championship-winning team alongside teammate Nyck de Vries.
Jenson Button (#38 Cadillac V-Series.R, Hypercar): Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button is putting all his effort into his final 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as full-time racing. Can the British driver make his mark before his retirement?

Valentino Rossi (#46 BMW M4, LMGT3): The iconic MotoGP rider has been delving into different forms of motorsport, competing in the World Endurance Championship, and now making his Le Mans mark.
14:45 CIRCUIT DE LA SARTHE
Circuit de la Sarthe is perhaps the most iconic and renowned circuit in all of motorsport. Its rich history has shaped almost 100 years of racing with thrilling moments around the 13.629km track. The classic course has its roots in the 1920s with motorcycle racing around an original triangular circuit along the suburbs of Le Mans.
The circuit we know and love today was adapted and developed throughout history, adding iconic features like the Maison Blanche and stiff Virage de Muisanne. Circuit de la Sarthe is the perfect blend between a classic circuit and off-road racing.
To win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a team must cover the most distance or complete the most laps. A rotation of drivers competes in one team, typically splitting the drive between eight-hour shifts. One driver is not allowed to drive for more than 14 hours in total.
Formula 1 world champion Graham Hill is the only driver to have completed motorsport’s triple crown jewel of the Monaco Grand Prix, the Indy 500, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
14:43 CAN FERRARI MAKE IT THREE IN A ROW?
Ferrari has been the favourite for the 24 Hours of Le Mans victory for the last few years. They have so far managed to pull off back-to-back victories, but an eighth-place starting slot can hinder this winning streak. The iconic Italian team qualified in third and fourth place last year, but they soared to the front of the pack and snatched the win from Porsche and Toyota.
Despite their struggles during qualifying, the Prancing Horse is somehow still the favourite. The 499P Le Mans Hypercar has an edge over the other hypercars. It’s fast and sleek as well as reliable. With two recent wins under their belt, Ferrari certainly knows how their modern hypercars operate around Circuit de la Sarthe.
Can Ferrari make it a triple victory?

Cadillac starts on pole in the Hypercar category, while TDS secured the LMP2 pole. Aston Martin managed to top the Ferrari in the GT3 category and secure the pole.
14:30 GOOD AFTERNOON
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text coverage of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy500 complete, fans are seated for the final race in the triple crown jewels of motorsport. Last summer, Ferrari sealed back-to-back victories at the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe with drivers Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen clinching the win with 311 laps completed.
This year, it looks like Ferrari are on the back foot of Cadillac, who locked out the front row with ease. This feat makes Cadillac the first American manufacturer to take pole at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1967 with Ford. Porsche and BMW will be contenders for the win, as per usual, but can they defeat the Americans?
