"Here we are 22, 23 years later shooting the sequel to Freaky Friday (Freakier Friday). Jake's back and I think there's a lot of excitement," he said.
Released in 2003, fans of the original film are most excited about the return of the original cast – and Chad's on-screen reunion with co-stars Lindsay and Jamie Lee.
"Getting back on the bike and getting back to set and seeing everybody, it really felt like no time had passed," Chad revealed.
"Yet, we had entire lives in between, you know, like kids. Lindsay's got kids, Jamie's got an Academy Award now, right?"

Chad was 19 years old when Freaky Friday was released, Lindsay was just 17.
Starting their own families is certainly the one thing that has changed.
Chad has three young kids with actress and wife of 10 years Sarah Roemer. The pair welcomed their third child, a beautiful baby girl, in August 2023.
While Lindsay welcomed her first child, a baby boy, a month earlier in July 2023.
"So it's like you're looking at all these people, producers, crew, cast and it's like you're coming home to a family.
"It's like a family reunion and all of a sudden you see all your aunts and uncles you haven't seen in 10 years," he went on. "And you're like, 'Oh gosh. How you doing?'"
And while 22 years have passed since the release of Freaky Friday, Chad said they owed it to fans to "do it right".

"You want to make sure you tell a standalone story that is significant but also it's that nostalgia-filled world for fans, right?" he explained.
"We have to elevate everything," Chad teased.
