PIEDMONT, Mo. (KOAM) — Do you know a high schooler age 16-18, or a recent graduate that is interested in law enforcement? This summer the Missouri State Highway Patrol host their Youth Academy Program.

It’s no cost to attend.

ACTIVITIES:

  •   Experience different jobs, such as a Patrol trooper, K-9, detective, pilot, water patrol, and various support careers.
  •   Learn what it takes to become a law enforcement officer.
  •   Experience police training.
  •   Participate in military drill, sports, physical fitness, team building, and much more!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Cadets should be interested in a career in law enforcement. 
  • Cadets must be HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OR RECENT GRADUATES BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16-18.
  • Cadets must be in good physical condition, capable of enduring aerobic (running) and endurance activities requiring a reasonable fitness level.
  • Cadets must reside at the camp facility for the duration of the program.
