Police: Washington County woman was over 3x too drunk to drive, crashed vehicle

A Washington County woman is accused of driving with a blood alcohol content more than three times the legal limit, and seriously injuring herself and a passenger in a crash.
State Police said June A. Hommel, 59, of Eagle Bridge, was involved in a rollover crash on March 9 just before 7 p.m., just off Ash Grove Road in White Creek. Hommel and her passenger were taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center.
Hommel allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.25%. The legal limit is 0.08%.
Hommel was charged on Friday with vehicular assault, aggravated driving while intoxicated and traffic violations. She is due in White Creek Town Court on May 15.
