Toyota unveils new bZ3C and bZ3X electric SUVs at show
Toyota has unveiled two new electric vehicles: the bZ3C and the bZ3X. The BEVs are currently being exhibited at the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in China. The models were seen in concept form at Auto Shanghai this time last year; the bZ Sport Cross Concept has become the bZ3C and the bZ FlexSpace Concept the bZ3X.
So far, Toyota has revealed little information about its new EVs, which it has said are designed for the Chinese market. The bZ3C, developed in partnership with BYD Toyota EV Technology, FAW and Toyota’s Intelligent ElectroMobility (IEM) R&D Center team, is aimed at Gen Z drivers. Meanwhile, Toyota has worked with GAC Group, GAC Toyota and IEM on the family-oriented bZ3X. The bZ3X is the larger of the two vehicles and appears to have a more spacious cabin. Both feature a panoramic sunroof, large infotainment screen, digital dashboard and wireless charging pads for your phone.
Plus, Toyota has confirmed that the electric SUVs will have advanced driver-assistance technology. The company has not announced details on the drivetrains for its upcoming EVs. It also remains to be seen when the Toyota bZ3C and bZ3X will launch and whether there will be versions for markets outside China.
